Athletes of Ust-Kamenogorsk won the East Kazakhstan Region home championship

The organizers of the tournament were the Athletics Federation of the region and the regional Department of Physical Culture and Sports. The tournament turned out to be quite massive, for example, there were more than 100 champions and prize-winners alone! However, this could well not be the limit – due to bad weather conditions, athletes from Shemonaiha, Zyryanovsk and Zaisan could not come to Ust-Kamenogorsk. In the absence of guys from these regions, it was necessary to distribute awards among athletes from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ridder, Glubokovsky and Ulansky districts and, of course, Semey. The regional championship was held in three age categories at once, because it is no secret that Ust-Kamenogorsk will soon host several national championships in a row. Therefore, it was absolutely necessary to check everyone in the case. In the team competition, the competition hosts from Ust-Kamenogorsk turned out to be the strongest, winning 34 diplomas for the first places. The second step of the team podium was taken by athletes from Semey with 17 victories in the asset, and the third place went to the guests from Ridder – 10 first places. The most successful athletes of the last championship were Arthur Khabibullin from Semey for boys, who won five championship titles, and Oryngul Zkrienova and Anastasia Zavodina for girls, who each took four first places in various types of the program. Athletes of Ust-Kamenogorsk were presented with a “calorie reserve”

The action was held at the Athletics Center named after Olga Rypakova. About 50 pupils of the local school received sweet gifts. The campaign was sponsored by the Bakytty Bolashak Public Foundation. Its director Irina Leonova acted as the “snow maiden”, who presented gifts to young athletes. – We decided this year to see what we can do in sports, – says Irina, who herself is engaged in alpine skiing at an amateur level. – Previously, we paid little attention to this area, but today funding has allowed us to hold an action for athletes. Moreover, athletics is one of the most advanced sports in Ust-Kamenogorsk, and the more children know about such a school, the more athletes we will have. The guys receiving the gifts were selected by the coaches. Alas, the organizers of the action do not yet have the opportunity to give sweets to all seven hundred people involved in athletics at the center. But supporting the best of the best is a matter of honor. A source: http://vksport.kz/
A boarding school for children gifted in sports has been opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk

A boarding school for children gifted in sports has been opened in Ust-Kamenogorsk December 22 will go down in the history of East Kazakhstan sports as the day when a modern boarding school for children gifted in sports opened its doors. After Olga Rypakova’s victory at the Olympic Games in London, the regional authorities, together with large companies of East Kazakhstan region, undertook the creation of a sports cluster in the regional center. In a short time, the Martial Arts Palace, Olga Rypakova’s Athletics Arena, and a swimming pool were built, and now the most promising athletes of the region will have the opportunity to train, study and live in one place. Today, in honor of Independence Day in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Deputy Prime Minister and ex-akim of East Kazakhstan Region Berdybek Saparbayev, head of the region Danial Akhmetov and Chairman of the Board of Vostoktsvetmet LLP Ilsur Dautov solemnly opened a boarding school for children gifted in sports. In his congratulatory speech, Deputy Prime Minister Berdybek Saparbayev noted that “the state pays great attention to the development of the social sphere and sports. Olga Rypakova’s victory at the Olympics gave a powerful impetus to the development of sports in the East Kazakhstan region. I would like to express my gratitude to the companies Kazakhmys, Kazzinc, Kazatomprom and Vostoktsvetmet, which allocated funds for the construction of this facility as part of a social partnership between the state and business. The total area of the boarding school is eleven thousand square meters. Now talented athletes of our region can improve their skills in a new boarding school under the guidance of experienced coaches.” Olga Rypakova, Champion of the Olympic Games 2012 in London: “Congratulations to everyone on the opening of the new sports boarding school. In our time, we did not have such conditions due to the difficult economic situation. Nevertheless, they studied well and achieved heights in sports. All conditions have been created for you to study and achieve in sports. I wish you good luck.” The cost of the project is more than 1.5 billion tenge, two thirds of them are directed to construction and installation work, the remaining part is for the purchase of equipment and other expenses. About 350 schoolchildren of grades 7-11 will study at the new boarding school, while for 200 gifted children from the districts of the region who have passed the selection and have the appropriate sports category, this building will become a home and an educational temple. At the disposal of athletes are rooms for living, sports and gyms, a huge dining room for 200 people, a buffet, a room for storing sports equipment, a medical unit, offices for instructors and coaches, showers, locker rooms, an assembly hall, rest rooms. Already, the local library has a book collection of 9,000 copies of various educational, sports and fiction literature. This number will double when the boarding school is fully operational. In addition to classrooms, there are also separate rooms for providing psychological assistance. The undoubted advantage of the boarding school is the shooting range, which will be put into operation after finishing works. Abil Donbayev, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region, notes that Ust-Kamenogorsk boarding school is the only one in Kazakhstan that also has a shooting base. They will begin to carry out all the volumes of the training and educational process here from the third quarter. A source: http://vksport.kz/
Olga Safronova: “The athletics house was built in Ust-Kamenogorsk”

On December 19, the O. Rypakova Athletics Center hosted the first press conference in its history. Her heroines were four beautiful girls, four stars of athletics: Olympic Champion Olga Rypakova (O.R.), who collected a full set of medals at the Asian Games in Incheon Olga Saforonova (O.S.), as well as silver medalists of this competition in the 4-100m relay Svetlana Ivanchukova (S.I.) and Anastasia Tulapina (A.T.). – Have you ever been to Ust-Kamenogorsk before this day? How did our city greet you? – O.S. – We haven’t been to Ust-Kamenogorsk at all yet, so now we have a great opportunity to get to know the city and hold good training camps. I met the city first of all with a new arena, built in honor of our and your Olya Rypakova. It seems that her works will glorify the regional center of East Kazakhstan Region for a long time (smiles). The facility will give more than one record and produce more than one athlete with a big name. After all, young athletes run, grow up and will surely glorify Kazakhstan on the world sports arenas more than once. – Have you already had a walk around the city? – O.S. – Yes, of course we did (laughs). We liked Ust-Kamenogorsk. Yes, it’s cold, frosts, but we are used to it – we are northern. I would like to mention your playpen separately. Probably my words will seem loud to someone, but after building this arena, they built a house for us! Previously, there was a feeling that we were some kind of homeless, that no one needed us, we were kicked out from somewhere all the time, trained here and there. And here they built us a house, our temple! When we arrived, we were just stunned! We are, of course. We have seen a lot, I personally participated in the World Championships and visited similar arenas. But this is ours! Not some kind of foreign one, but ours! We are very satisfied and happy. – Where did your winter training camps take place before? – S. I. – We mainly trained in Almaty, but even there there is no such athletics base in which it would be possible to practice and conduct full-fledged training. There are only three tracks in a circle of only 150 m. It’s very difficult, and considering that the track and field team is very large, it became crowded, everyone interfered with each other. In fact, we are currently having our first winter training camps, when we can train well. The arena was simply amazing in its scale and functionality. Comfortable locker rooms that have access directly to the arena. Coverage, inventory – all this is very accessible, nothing is locked anywhere. That is, everything has been created here so that you can just concentrate on doing the exercises. – How difficult is it to compete in arenas with a standard circle and the same marking after the preparatory period took place in arenas that do not meet the world criteria? – It is really very difficult to move from one to the other. Because absolutely everything plays a role: from the coating to the length of the circle. All of this affects the results. And to produce results when training takes place in such difficult conditions as we had before… there is no need to talk about it. I am very glad that such an arena has finally appeared in Kazakhstan. – How often do they arrange foreign training camps for the National team? – A. T. – Depending on what competitions we are being prepared for. Let’s say we had three or four training camps in the Olympic year. Unfortunately, I did not get to the Games, but the preparatory period is familiar to me. – O.R. – We usually have two training camps: in the off-season and in the autumn period. the rest – depending on the competitions we are preparing for – the World Cup, the Olympic Games, sometimes the Asian Championships. We are going to the training camp, where we are conducting pre-competition training. We mainly spend time where the climate and time zone are suitable for the conditions of the place where the start will take place. There has never been such a thing that the training camps took place at arenas of this level, before we were hosted by Karaganda or Shymkent. But now it is Ust-Kamenogorsk. – Surely, in terms of popularity, your life was divided into two periods: before the Asian Games in Incheon and after them. Have they started to recognize you on the street? – O.S. – Probably the first weeks after the Asian Games, sometimes people came up and said: “And we know you, you won the 200 meters at the Asian Games.” We only remember victories. But now this hype has subsided, and thank God. Still, it distracts from the training process. Let’s say I spend most of my time in Almaty, where I train, and play for Pavlodar. And there are constant calls asking you to come somewhere, to come somewhere, to participate in something, to give an interview. And I understand that it is unpleasant for people who have to be refused, but here there is a choice between training normally and having a chance to further defend the honor of our country on the world stage, or to satisfy something momentary. – O.R. – It’s very distracting. Of course, it happens that they are asked to come at a time when training is taking place. We try to find compromises, and take into account what kind of interview or program or event it is, how much it benefits the development of sports. Then I try to find time, negotiate with the coach. But when, in principle, there is no benefit and result from the event, then, of course, it is better to spend this time on training. But over the past year, I probably haven’t turned anyone down (laughs).
The Kazakhstan national athletics team is training in Ust-Kamenogorsk

The main Kazakhstan athletics team arrived at the regional center of East Kazakhstan Region on December 13. Our squad plans a two–week training camp, which will last until the 26th of this month. The team consists of 20 athletes and two coaches. Among them are such stars as Konstantin Safronov, Anastasia Tulapina, three-time medalist of the last Asian Games Olga Safronova, Svetlana Ivanchukova and other famous athletes. In addition, Olympic Champion Olga Rypakova also conducts her training here. – The current gathering is for informational purposes, – says Olga Safronova. – I will most likely miss the entire winter season, because 2014 was very eventful. In the summer, we plan to participate in the World Relay Championships, the Asian and World Championships. So now the main thing is to approach these starts in good condition. At the same time, athletes from Karaganda, Pavlodar and Almaty hold their training camps in the arena Источник: vksport.kz
Athletes of East Kazakhstan Region held a start on Independence Day
Independence Day of Kazakhstan. How can athletes celebrate it? Of course, doing what you love – competing with each other! Moreover, in this case, pleasant things can be combined with useful ones, because Kazakhstan Indoor Championships in different age categories are on the nose. The entire winter season of Kazakhstan will be held this year in Ust-Kamenogorsk, because only here there is an arena so decent that it would not be a shame to train the entire national athletics team of Kazakhstan. On Independence Day, 170 athletes of two age categories took part in the competition: 1998-99 and 2000-2001. The nearest national championship will be held at these ages. So the guys need to gain competitive experience. By the way, the current start may well claim the title of republican – not only Ustkamenogorsk athletes and track and field athletes from nearby towns and villages, a la Ridder, Semey and Belousovka, take part in the open championship of the school. Even the guys from Karaganda, Pavlodar and Almaty arrived! So there was also a chance to show your strength to your closest competitors. That is, to show yourself and look at others. On the first day of competition, the strongest were revealed in the 1500 m running (Alexander Lukyanov, Vlad Bakhtin, Regina Mitrofanova and Moldir Seitkhanova), shot put (Erica Kem, Daria Demchenko, Pavel Belogortsev, Artur Gafner), triple jump (Miras Kaidarov, Danil Pilyugin, Anastasia Sauer, Kristina Kharitonova), 400 m running (Nazar Terentyev, Zhandos Kumarbekov, Arina Saifullina, Alexandra Egorina) and high jump (Elizaveta Matveeva, Veta Kharitonova, Akylzhan Toktagalin, Georgy Ermolov). The novelty of the competition was the 50 m run. Strangely enough, there is such an athletics discipline, but it was tested in Ust-Kamenogorsk for the first time in a long time. And after all, they had never practiced running this distance before – after their debut on the “fifty kopecks” for the first time in their careers, Veta Kharitonova and Anastasia Zavodina from Ust-Kamenogorsk fulfilled the standards of Candidates for master of sports. The girls’ happiness simply had no limits. Besides them, Vlad Feshchenko and Viktor Kushnarev won the championship titles at this distance. Separately, I would like to note the success in the shot put of Erica Kem. By sending a projectile to 11.23 meters, this girl born in 1999 set a new personal record!
