Open Athletics Championship for Young Athletes Held in Ust-Kamenogorsk
On October 4, 2025, the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center in Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the Open Championship of the East Kazakhstan School of Athletics. The competition brought together boys and girls born in 2013–2014, as well as athletes born in 2015 and younger. The young athletes demonstrated their skills in 50m and 500m races, long jump, and concluded the program with a 4x200m relay that involved all teams. The event aimed to promote athletics among children, provide valuable competition experience, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. It was organized by the East Kazakhstan Athletics Federation and the East Kazakhstan School of Athletics. At the end of the competition, winners and prizewinners were awarded certificates and medals. For many participants, this was their first serious sporting experience, while for coaches it became an important step in preparing future champions.

An open athletics championship was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk
On September 27–28, 2025, the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center hosted the Open Ust-Kamenogorsk City Athletics Championship, dedicated to the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the course of two days, competitions were held in running events from 60 to 3000 meters, relays, long jump, high jump, pole vault, triple jump, as well as shot put, discus, javelin, and hammer throw. Boys and girls took part in the championship, with finals held in most disciplines. At the end of each day, award ceremonies were held for the winners and prize-winners.
Open Cross-Country Championship Held in Glubokoe District
Open Cross-Country Championship Held in Glubokoe District On September 27–28, 2025, the Open Cross-Country Championship of the Children and Youth Sports School of Glubokoe District, organized by the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region, took place in the village of Glubokoe. The event brought together boys and girls born in 2012–2013 and 2014–2015. The competition was held in the mass-start format on the cross-country track near the Glubokoe beach. Along with athletes from the Glubokoe Sports School, representatives of other sports and general education schools of East Kazakhstan Region also participated. Boys and girls born in 2012–2013 competed over a 1 km distance, while the younger group of 2014–2015 ran 500 meters. The event aimed to promote athletics and cross-country running in Glubokoe district and East Kazakhstan Region, enhance participants’ skills, and identify the strongest athletes. Winners and prize-winners were determined and included in the district school’s cross-country team.

Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the athletics tetrathlon championship among young athletes
On September 13, 2025, the athletics center named after Olga Rypakova hosted the regional championship in athletics tetrathlon among boys and girls born in 2012–2013, 2014, and younger, organized by the East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Athletics under the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region. The competition was dedicated to Family Day and aimed at selecting the strongest athletes to participate in the upcoming Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in athletics tetrathlon. The championship program included the following disciplines: 60-meter sprint, long jump, ball throw with a weight of 150 grams, as well as a 500-meter run for girls and a 600-meter run for boys. As a result of the competition, winners and prize-winners were determined, earning the right to represent East Kazakhstan Region at the upcoming Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
