Visit of the Minister of Sports and Tourism to the athletics centre
On 19.12.2024, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Myrzabosynov Yerbol Kuantaevich visited the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center in Ust-Kamenogorsk as part of a working trip. During the visit, he met with the President of the Athletics Federation Olga Rypakova, as well as with athletes and coaches. The President of the Federation stressed that a lot of work remains to be done, and key attention will be paid to the scientific approach in training athletes. In particular, it is planned to develop specialized techniques for different age groups. The development of children’s and mass sports will also be an important area. In addition, issues of professional development of coaches and referees were discussed. The Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan expressed his readiness to support initiatives for the development of athletics, noting the importance of training highly qualified specialists who will be able to train athletes capable of adequately representing Kazakhstan at the World Championships and Olympic Games, as well as using the existing infrastructure potential and holding national and international championships at the highest level. “Sauletai”
XI regional children’s sports games “Sauletai” started in East Kazakhstan region The opening began with creative performances and a colorful presentation of the teams, which filled the hall with a festive atmosphere. In the solemn formation, the participants sang the anthem together, demonstrating unity and a spirit of victory. The head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region, Askar Mozhanov, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He noted that the games will last four days and cover different sports: athletics, chess, togyzkumalak, arm wrestling, asyk ata, table tennis and much more. Among the 500 participants aged 12-13 years are representatives of all districts and cities of the region. For many participants, “Sauletai” has become not only a sporting challenge, but also a real celebration of friendship and unity. Young athlete Sezim Shyngyskyzy from school No. 11 in Ridder city excitedly shared her expectations. Innes Chernysheva, Head of the Education Department of East Kazakhstan Region, also warmly supported the participants. She noted that “Sauletai” is not just a sports competition, but an event that unites everyone who loves sports.
