Results of Day Two of the Kazakhstan Athletics Championships
The Kazakhstan Athletics Championships for boys and girls under 16 (U16), as well as the U23 youth category, continue in Shymkent. On the second day of competition, athletes from the East Kazakhstan Region once again delivered strong performances, adding gold, silver, and bronze medals to the team’s tally.
Among the U16 athletes, sprinters and field event competitors stood out. Darya Sitnikova claimed victory in the women’s 200 meters with a confident time of 26.28. In the boys’ 200 meters, Mukhamed Goibov won the gold medal with a result of 23.57.
In the girls’ 100-meter hurdles, Yana Khairutdinova earned the silver medal with a time of 15.31. Another silver medal for the team came from Zukhra Karimova in the triple jump with a result of 10.69. In the high jump sector, Roman Kovalyov became the bronze medalist after clearing 1.60 meters.
The second day was also successful for the U23 athletes. Arina Mozulyako won the discus throw with a mark of 38.83 meters. In the men’s high jump, two representatives of East Kazakhstan reached the podium: Ramazan Bakytzhanov won silver, while Ruslan Lomtev took bronze. Both athletes cleared 1.95 meters.
Ivan Sening captured the gold medal in the decathlon, scoring 6403 points over two days of competition. The successful day concluded with victory for the East Kazakhstan team in the U23 mixed 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:51.32.
