On December 5, 2016, the Reporting and Election Conference of the Athletic Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held in Astana. The Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Arystanbek Mukhamediuly, delivered the opening remarks. Delegates of the conference reviewed the report on the Federation’s activities during the previous Olympic cycle, followed by the election of the Federation’s leadership.
Adilbek Ryskeldinovich Jaksybekov, who was serving as the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the time, was elected President of the Athletic Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Additional appointments included:
First Vice-President: Eldar Rashitovich Tabanov;
Vice-President: Alexey Mikhailovich Kondrat;
General Secretary: Lashin Erkaraevich Aymagambetov.
The conference delegates approved amendments to the Federation’s Charter and elected a new Executive Committee.
