Andrey Kleimenov and Gulzhanat Zhanatbek had no equal in the 10,000 meters

In the final form of the first day of the championship of Kazakhstan – the 10–kilometer run – the participants went to the distance in a motley single company, but with a separate, of course, men’s and women’s standings. The main favorites in the dispute between the representatives of the stronger sex were the experienced Andrey Leimenov from East Kazakhstan and Mikhail Krasilov from Zhambyl region. They stayed side by side for the first third of the race, but gradually the 27-year-old Krasilov began to lag behind his 30-year-old opponent, and by the finish Leimenov’s advantage reached almost a minute. June 12th. The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Running 10,000 meters. Men: 1. Andrey Leimenov (East Kazakhstan region) – 30.53,0 min. 2. Mikhail Krasilov (Zhambyl region) – 31.52.8 min. 3. Daryn Konysbayev (Almaty region) – 33.12.5 min. For women, the expected competition between the participants of the 2016 Olympics in the marathon Gulzhanat Zhanatbek (Almaty region) and Irina Smolnikova (East Kazakhstan region) lasted even less. Literally 5-6 laps after the start, Zhanatbek began to break away from her main rival, more than a minute and a half ahead of her at the finish. At the same time, it should be noted that both the men’s and women’s races turned out to be far from outstanding in terms of average speed. June 12th. The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Running 10,000 meters. Women: 1. Gulzhanat Zhanatbek (Almaty region) – 35.22,1 min. 2. Irina Smolnikova (East Kazakhstan region) – 37.03,4 min. 3. Olga Bogomolskaya (Pavlodar region) – 37.47,2 min. In the hammer and spear throwing sectors, the favorites won

In the morning program, where the hammer throwers were arguing, Diana Nusupbekova, a 21-year-old national record holder from Almaty, achieved a tangible advantage over her rivals, sending a projectile in the best attempt at 60.25 meters. June 12th. The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Hammer throwing. Women: 1. Diana Nusupbekova (Almaty) – 60.25 m 2. Ekaterina Nesterova (Karaganda region) – 50.71 m 3. Victoria Frolova (North Kazakhstan region) – 47.03 m Compared to the winning throw at the Kazakhstan Cup in May (56.19 m) Nusupbekova gained more than four meters, but at the end of the competition she still looked a little upset.: – To be honest, I’m not completely happy with the result, – Diana shared. – Although this is my best shot at official competitions of the season, I still haven’t completely “scattered” yet. In principle, I have already gained a good shape, but today not everything turned out smoothly. During training, it was possible to send a projectile to the area of 62 meters (the record of Kazakhstan set by Nusupbekova last year is 62.50 m – auth.), but now she has made small technical mistakes. The next start will be at the Gusman Kosanov Memorial on June 24-25, where I will try to improve the result. East Kazakhstanis Artur Gafner and Varvara Nazarova achieved success in the men’s and women’s javelin throwing tournaments held after lunch. They also fell short of their best achievements last year (72.77 and 52.76 m, respectively), but the results shown this time were quite enough for them to win confident victories. June 12th. The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Javelin throwing. Men: 1. Arthur Gafner (East Kazakhstan region) – 65.08 m 2. Evgeny Anokhin (North Kazakhstan region) – 56.53 m 3. Olga Rypakova showed an excellent result for the start of the season in Rome

The fourth stage of the Diamond League has ended in Rome, where the Olympic Champion of London 2012 showed the best result of the season! Predictably, no other athlete could get into the dispute of the big three Rojas-Ibargun-Rypakov for getting into the top three. Olga Rypakova, unfortunately for us, could not become the current leaders of the competition. After the first attempt, she lost to Catherine Ibarguen from Colombia (14.24 m vs. 14.43 m), and after the second, to Yulimar Rojas. At the same time, it was the second jump that Olga succeeded best, because when she performed it, she “flew away” by 14.64 m. By the way, this is only 14 cm less than her medal result at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. And considering that Rypakova’s main start will be only in August, our star countryman is already demonstrating excellent readiness with this jump. This jump was not enough to stay in second place. In the second half of the competition, Katerina Ibarguen “jumped out” and in the last attempt made a jump of 14.78 m, but the Olympic Champion in 2016 did not become the winner of the competition either. The laurels of the triumphant went to the Venezuelan athlete Yulimar Rojas, who reached the mark of 14.84 m in the fifth jump. Olga Rypakova’s third place allowed her to score six points in the Diamond League standings and earn $4,000 in prize money. Triple jump. Women (11 participants): 1. Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela) – 14.84 2. Catherine Ibarguen (Colombia) – 14.78 3. Elina Mikhina became the second at the international tournament in memory of Gusman Kosanov in Almaty

However, today will be the second competition day, which can add a positive mood to our fans of this sport. Ridder runner Elina Mikhina has made a great start to the current summer season, performing more than convincingly at the stages of the Asian Grand Prix, twice becoming the first and once finishing second. But in the future, something our countryman stopped getting along with the result. She was very close to running out of 53 seconds, but by the middle of the season, Elina started running at the same speed as at the beginning of the season, again moving away from the cherished time. At the recent Championship of Kazakhstan, they decided to save her altogether, without taking her to the final of the 400 m race, where she still made her way. So we hardly had the right to expect that Mikhina would be able to demonstrate outstanding speed at the Kosanov memorial. The website of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan again named the Ridder athlete the favorite to start at the 400 m distance. However, this was done more out of inertia than based on the demonstrated results. And Mikhina was not the first in Almaty. She lost, and quite a lot to the representative of India Puvamma Raju Machettira, running 400 m in 53.63 s. The guest from India was 0.4 seconds faster. Moreover, Elina’s second place was not guaranteed at all. The heroine of our story won only 0.07 s from another representative of India, who took third place, Jisna Mateva. So far, for some reason, Elina cannot find her former speed, which allowed her to show just phenomenal seconds for Kazakhstan. We hope that this season one of the elite athletes of Asia will be able to cope with all the problems, and will appear again in her best condition. GUSMAN KOSANOV MEMORIAL Running 400 m. Women: 1. Puvamma Raju Machettira (India) — 53.23 s 2. Elina MIKHINA (Kazakhstan) — 53.63 s 3. Jisna Matev (India) — 53.70 Alexey Gubanov A source: vksport.kz

Schedule of the IV Summer Youth Games
The “Green Marathon” was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk

The traditional Green Mile race is a project of one of the most famous banks in Russia, and if our northern neighbors hold it annually, then it was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk only for the second time with a three-year break. However, a very, very noble reason forced the bank’s employees to return to the tradition – saving the life and health of a little one-year-old girl, Lunara Zhangalieva, who was born too early, only five months pregnant. So even now, when she turned one year old, she needs specific care. About 300 Ust-Kamenogorsk sports enthusiasts and professionals took part in the 2 km long race. Among the participants were such famous people as the champion of Kazakhstan in long jump Anastasia Zavodina, ex-head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region Eldos Chikenov, multiple winners of national and regional competitions in stayer running Irina Troeglazova and Yuri Blinov, working at one of the large enterprises of the city, the winner of the international tournament “Children of Asia” in jumping Elizaveta Matveeva and many others are tall. The age of those who fought for victory varied from 5 to 70 years. Irina Troeglazova for women and Talgat Zakiryanov for men won the race. As a result of the campaign, all together managed to collect 342,169 tenge, which will be transferred to the representatives of the little girl. International athletics competitions of the Central Asian teams among juniors and senior boys were held in Almaty. However, the tournament did not turn out to be very representative. Only three states delegated their athletes to the southern capital. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan were represented at the competitions in Almaty by their athletes. However, there were so few guests that they had no chance to compete for the first team place. However, of course, no one except our athletes prevented them from winning individual awards. 17 athletes from East Kazakhstan region took part in the competition, who won a total of four gold, the same number of silver and two bronze medals. Competitions in the high jump sector have become the most successful for athletes of East Kazakhstan region. Here, our delegates managed to win three medals of each merit at once. Nadezhda Dubovitskaya from Semey showed an outstanding height for herself here – 185 cm, showing the best personal result of the season! The second place was also taken by the representative of East Kazakhstan Region Elizaveta Matveeva from Ust-Kamenogorsk. She lost 20 cm to the champion, however, it is worth considering that Matveeva is three years younger than Dubovitskaya! The bronze medal went to another representative of Semey, Sergey Olenich. This young and promising athlete fought with opponents who were at least two years older than him and, nevertheless, managed to win a place on the podium, sitting on the third step. Sergey’s final result is a very promising 190 cm! Regina Mitrofanova from Ridder won the largest number of medals for our region. The styling school of this town continues to churn out promising athletes like on an assembly line. So Regina was able to become the owner of two silver medals at once, played in Almaty at distances of 1500 m and 800 m. The very first victory for our region was won by Anastasia Zavodina, who showed another great result in the long jump. In her best attempt, the Ust-Kamenogorsk athlete “flew away” by 5.89 m! The competitors were left far behind. Even the second place Ksenia Zelentsova Zavodina won more than 20 cm! Svetlana Malezhina from Ust-Kamenogorsk ran the fastest 100 m hurdles. Our compatriot spent only 15.13 seconds on this distance! Erica Kem also won the shot put tournament. In the best approach, she sent a projectile to 11.23 m. The silver medals of the East Kazakhstan Region team were won by Ekaterina Efremova’s performance in the 400 m, and another bronze medal went to Arina Saifullina in the 800 m. Both athletes represent Ust-Kamenogorsk. ALL MEDALS OF ATHLETES OF EAST KAZAKHSTAN REGION HIGH JUMP Juniors (4 participants): 1. Roman Voznyuk (Kazakhstan) – 208 2. Olga Rypakova won a ticket to the World Championships in London

These competitions turned out to be not too rich in medals for the track and field athletes of the East Kazakhstan region. In the medalists, we had only five athletes who won six gold medals. Olga Rypakova became the main producer of precious metal for the East Kazakhstan Region team. As expected, he won both long jump competitions and, of course, the triple jump. But the fact of victory is not as important as the specified result. In the triple jump, our Olympic champion ran 14.45 m, which not only automatically made him the winner of the competition, but also made it possible to qualify for the World Championship in London! -The main thing is to get into the rhythm of the competition, – quotes Rypakov from the official website of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan. – It was also necessary to work with some technical elements. The task of participating in the World Cup has already been fulfilled, so you can calmly continue training. I will spend the next start in Rome, at the stage of the “Diamond League”. Won the 400 m race another of our prima Ridder, Elina Mikhina, was once again the strongest, winning the third race in a row, as well as in the last stages of the Asian Grand Prix. But this time the victory did not bring happiness to the athlete. She, unlike Rypakova, could not get to the primacy of the planet. In any case, at this very start. To go to London, it is necessary to run 400 m for 52.1 s, at the cup of Kazakhstan Mikhina showed only 53.6 s. “I am not happy with my result until I can say why this happened and what is the reason,” Elina shared with the official website of the Federation. – I don’t know why the result came out like this. After the Grand Prix, they prepared for this start, trained. I felt good nothing bothered me. I am not looking for and cannot find any excuses for this result. Again, the most medal-intensive discipline for East Kazakhstan region was the javelin throw. Three of our athletes received three awards at once. Arthur Gafner and Varvara Nazarova predictably won. But the most important thing is that both showed results close to their own records. Thus, Gafner threw 71.88 meters less and lost the record of Kazakhstan among juniors, which was set in May last year at the competitions of teams of Central Asian countries (72.77 m) in Almaty. Nazarova completely renewed the highest achievement of Kazakhstan by sending 51.33 m shells! Like Gafner, Varvara set the country’s record in the competitions of the teams of Central Asian countries. And then he was able to renew the achievement that he had achieved safely for 13 years! Now his spear flew at a distance of 1.1 m at once! The third prize-winner was Magzhan Zhakipbekov, who lost to Gafner in the abyss of 20.5 M, but was able to impose a fight against turaniyazov in the dispute for the second place. Magzhan won a bronze medal. Another of our cup winners was Ridder Steyer Andrey Leimenov. He had no equal at a distance of 10,000 m. with this victory, Andrei was recently acquitted of failing at the Prague International Marathon, from where he was forced to leave. The two-time Cup medalist was young Erica less, who won a silver medal in discus throwing and was third in pushing the core. Six Ust-Kamenogorsk athletes will go to the Asian Championship

The beginning of the summer season has opened up unprecedented horizons for some of our athletes. Alexander Aksyutin, Daria Demchenko, Alexandra Egorina, Anastasia Zavodina, Anastasia Kaloshina and Elizaveta Matveeva will defend the honor of Kazakhstan at the continental championship among senior boys and girls. Aksyutin and Egorina will try their hand at the Asian level in the 400 m. Zavodina, who won the Kazakhstan Long Jump Championship, will compete for gold this time in Bangkok. Considering that this athlete simply made it a rule to improve her personal records at every single start, it is quite realistic to count on this in the capital of Thailand. Anastasia Kaloshina showed her best result of the season in hammer throwing on home soil at the Ust-Kamenogorsk championship. Then her projectile flew over the 50 m mark. She performed worse at the Kazakhstan Championship in Almaty, but the desired result has already been achieved. Maybe she’s like the same Antaeus, drawing strength from her native land? Then she needs to take a small fraction of it in her luggage to Thailand, so that she does not lose face in a foreign country. Daria Demchenko (pictured), who will compete for Kazakhstan in the 100 m hurdles, tried on the crown again. After an extremely unsuccessful winter season, it was like she was born again in the summer. We hope that the spring update will benefit Daria in the future. And finally, Elizaveta Matveeva closes our magnificent six, who will not shame the honor of her hometown and the whole of Kazakhstan in the high jump sector. Her last result was 1.65 m. We hope that things will go even higher at the continental championship. The Asian Championship in Thailand starts on May 20 and will last until the 23rd of the same month. our portal will definitely follow the performance of our athletes.
