The gold medal went to Hinako Kamimori of Japan, who jumped 5.43 m. The gap between first and second place was 6 centimetres. The bronze medal was won by Samiha Barwin Muzhi of India with a result of 5.17 m. The Asia-Pacific Championships for athletes with hearing impairments are being held from 2 to 9 October on Penang Island in Malaysia. About 400 athletes from 19 countries are taking part. Kazakhstan is represented by a team of 8 athletes competing in various disciplines.
