The Open East Kazakhstan Region Athletics Championships have started for athletes born in 2004 and older, 2005–2006 (U23), 2007–2008 (U20), 2009–2010 (U18), and 2011–2012 (U16). Below, we present a photo report from the award ceremony honoring the winners and medalists.
Elizaveta Matveyeva Shines at Tournament in CyprusKazakh athlete Elizaveta Matveyeva delivered an impressive performance at the EKO Cyprus International Athletics Meeting, held in Limassol, Cyprus. The prestigious competition is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze level series. Matveyeva competed in the women’s high jump event, clearing 1.85 meters to claim the silver medal. Another Kazakh athlete, Kristina Ovchinnikova, finished fifth with a jump of 1.80 meters, securing a place among the competition’s top five performers.
