Brilliant Performance by EKR Javelin Throwers At the International Athletics Competition for junior teams (born 1998-99) of Central Asian countries, athletes from the East Kazakhstan Region (EKR) secured first place in the javelin throw. Artur Gafner achieved a result of 72.77 m, setting a new Kazakhstan record and meeting the “Master of Sports” standard. Furthermore, he earned a spot at the Asian Junior Athletics Championships, which will take place from June 4–6 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In the women’s category, Varvara Nazarova won with a throw of 50.23 m, setting a new senior record for Kazakhstan.
