Results of the Republic of Kazakhstan Athletics Championship (July 10–12, 2025)

Results of the Republic of Kazakhstan Athletics Championship (July 10–12, 2025) One of the main highlights of the championship was the women’s javelin throw sector, where the favorite was the multiple-time national champion Varvara Nazarova from East Kazakhstan. She confidently claimed first place with a result of 47.12 meters.Bronze went to 20-year-old Natalia Sokolova (42.20 m), who recently won the National Youth Games with a personal best of 47.25 meters. Mikhail Litvin became the national champion in the 400 meters with a time of 47.71 seconds.Silver was claimed by Elnor Mukhitdinov (48.40), and bronze by Andrey Sokolov (48.78). In the women’s 400 meters, Sofia Kidenko (born 2007) stood out — she earned silver with a time of 56.26.In the 1500 meters, bronze went to Igor Khrunin with a time of 4:00.51.In the men’s long jump, 17-year-old Asan Azamatuly from East Kazakhstan impressed with a 7.24-meter leap. In the men’s hammer throw, the entire podium was taken by athletes from East Kazakhstan.First place went to 18-year-old Aldiyar Kairollaev with a result of 47.62 meters, completing all six attempts successfully.Second was Maxim Torlopov (45.31 m), and third — Alexey Vladimirov (45.28 m). Results of the Kazakhstan Junior Athletics Championships (2006–2007 )

From July 3 to 5, the Kazakhstan Junior Athletics Championships (2006–2007 YOB) took place at the Olympic Training Center in Almaty Region. The tournament became part of a busy schedule of the summer athletics season. Young athletes from all over the country gathered for the championship. Over the course of three competitive days, participants competed for medals in various disciplines — from sprint and hurdles to jumps, throws, and relays. Ahead, athletes and fans can look forward to three more major events: the Kazakhstan Athletics Championships (senior category), the Kazakhstan Championships among Children’s Youth Sports Schools (2008–2009), and the Kazakhstan Championships among Children’s Youth Sports Schools (2010–2011 ). Results of the V.N. Zykov Memorial Kazakhstan Cup and the U16 Kazakhstan Athletics Championships

From June 26 to 28, two major events in Kazakhstan’s athletics took place at the Olympic Training Center — the Kazakhstan Athletics Cup in memory of V.N. Zykov and the Kazakhstan Youth Championships for boys and girls born in 2010–2011. Both senior athletes and 15–16-year-old juniors competed in parallel events on the same arena. The East Kazakhstan regional team began the competition with confidence, achieving several notable results. Kazakhstan’s High Jumper Elizaveta Matveeva Competed in Her First European Event of the Season

Kazakhstan’s High Jumper Elizaveta Matveeva Competed in Her First European Event of the Season Kazakhstan’s high jumper Elizaveta Matveeva, 24, competed in her first European event of the current season at the FBK Games in Hengelo, which is part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold level. It seemed that at the FBK Games in Hengelo—a city in the Netherlands—not only did the 24-year-old Elizaveta Matveeva, but also more experienced high jumpers, struggle with the psychological pressure of competing among such elite company. The women’s high jump victory went to the main favorite, Nicola Olyslagers from Australia, a two-time Olympic silver medalist and a two-time world indoor champion. Nicola began her competition in Hengelo at 1.90 meters. After that, only one other athlete remained in the field: Lamara Distin from Jamaica. Olyslagers then cleared 1.93 meters on her first attempt, while that height proved too much for Distin. But the Australian didn’t stop there. She secured her victory by clearing 1.97 meters on her second attempt. So, first place at the FBK Games went to Nicola Olyslagers with 1.97 meters. Second place went to Lamara Distin from Jamaica with 1.90 meters. Third place went to Sweden’s Engla Nilsson with 1.85 meters. The same height was cleared by Safina Sadullaeva of Uzbekistan, the Asian Games champion, but she placed fourth due to more failed attempts. Kazakhstan’s Elizaveta Matveeva placed sixth. She cleared 1.75 and 1.80 on her first attempts but then failed three times at 1.85. Among those who also couldn’t clear higher than 1.80 was Slovenia’s Lia Apostolovski, the 2024 World Indoor Championships bronze medalist. The very fact that Elizaveta Matveeva was invited to compete at a gold-level event in the World Athletics Continental Tour is itself a recognition of a certain level of achievement. But that level must be maintained and improved, particularly in competitions of this caliber, like the FBK Games. Kazakhstan’s Athletics Team Member Elizaveta Matveeva Wins Silver Medal at the 2025 Asian Athletics Championships Elizaveta Matveeva, representing Kazakhstan’s athletics team, won a silver medal at the Asian Athletics Championships in Gumi (South Korea). The athlete placed second in the high jump. In her best attempt, Matveeva cleared 186 centimeters. The gold medal went to Pooja Pooja (India) with a jump of 189 centimeters. Safina Sadullaeva (Uzbekistan) also finished second with a jump of 186 centimeters. Kazakhstan now has five medals in total. First-place finishes came from Norah Jeruto (3000m steeplechase) and Daisy Jepkemey (10,000m). Bronze medals were won by Yasmina Toksanbayeva (20km race walk) and Daisy Jepkemey (3000m steeplechase).
