Nora Jeruto has won!
Nora Jeruto brought the long-awaited gold medal to Kazakhstan at the World Championships. The runner won, maintaining the lead throughout the entire distance and won the 3000 meters steeplechase with a score of 8:53.02. Nora Jeruto, originally from Kenya, began competing for Kazakhstan in 2018. This is the first gold medal at the World Athletics Championships for Kazakhstan. Congratulations!!! Bravo, Nora Jeruto!!!

OSKEMEN CROSS-FEST 2022, dedicated to the Year of children in Kazakhstan, will be held in Ust-Kamenogorsk on September 18. Results of the Central Asian Open Championship
The Open Championship of the Central Asian countries in athletics was held from September 23 to 25, 2022 in Samarkand (Uzbekistan). Athletes from East Kazakhstan showed good results in this competition. So Arina Gladysheva won gold in the 5000 m distance with a result of 17:24:50. In the men’s javelin throw, Arthur Gafner is in first place. Artur showed a result of 66.44 Lidia Safonova in the 100 m took 3rd place with a result of 12.68 In the 4×400 m relay mix our athletes won bronze with a result of 3:49.91. Also bronze for the women’s team in the 4x400m relay, the girls showed a time of 4:22.44
