Open EKRl Athletics Championship Among All Age Groups

From April 2 to 3, the Open East Kazakhstan Regional Athletics Championship for all age groups was held at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center. More than 300 athletes from across the region took part in the competition, along with students from general education schools. For many of them, this event became their first serious step into the world of athletics. On the track and in the field, a real battle unfolded for every second and every centimeter: participants demonstrated strength, endurance, and character, with victories often decided in the final meters of the race. Based on the results of the championship, the regional team will be formed to participate in the Republic of Kazakhstan Championship, which will be held in the city of Shymkent. The results of the winners and prize-winners of the Open East Kazakhstan Regional Athletics Championship clearly reflected the high level of preparation of the athletes and their стремление toward new achievements.    MEN — TECHNICAL EVENTS • Pole Vault1st place — Platon Kruglov (380) • Long Jump (2004 and older)1st place — Vladislav Bakhtin2nd place — Ramazan Bakytzhanov3rd place — Ilyas Erzayanov • Shot Put (2009–2010)1st place — Roman Verchenko (13.73)2nd place — Nurislam Orazbayev (8.74)3rd place — Andrey Izotov (7.89)  WOMEN — TRACK EVENTS • 100 m (2005–2006)1st place — Darya Pavlenko (12.3)3rd place — Sofya Toiskina (14.5) • 200 m2005–20061st place — Darya Pavlenko (26.53)2nd place — Kamila Eskendirova (27.76) 2007–20081st place — Alina Lesnyak (30.84) 2009–20101st place — Nadiya Kerimova (26.73)2nd place — Vasilisa Semenova (27.26)3rd place — Maria Cherepanova (27.49) • 400 m2004 and older1st place — Elena Galimzyanova (1:03.93) 2005–20061st place — Kamila Eskendirova (1:04.32) 2007–20081st place — Evelina Ryabkova (1:02.08) 2009–20101st place — Darya Potocheskaya (58.70)2nd place — Vasilisa Semenova (1:00.50)3rd place — Nadiya Kerimova (1:01.92) • 3000 m2009–20101st place — Lidiya Shcherbneva (15:18.90)2nd place — Zhanerke Asapova (15:58.63) 2011 and younger1st place — Dana Krasnoperova (12:26.15)2nd place — Yaroslava Semenova (12:48.34)3rd place — Aknur Oralbek (13:04.61) • Race Walk 3000 m (2011 and younger)1st place — Viktoria Martynenko (23:14.69)2nd place — Alena Makovitskaya (23:58.11) • Relay 4×200 m (2005–2006)1st place — U-Ka team (Pavlenko, Tusupova, Kerimova, Eskendirova) — 1:48.22  WOMEN — TECHNICAL EVENTS • High Jump2005–20061st place — Kristina Zakharchenko (165)2nd place — Sofya Ustimenko (160)3rd place — Inna Zakharchenko (150) 2007–20081st place — Zhansmin Begalinova (160) 2009–20101st place — Darya Shcherbneva (125) 2011 and younger1st place — Darya Pavlenko (135)2nd place — Amina Kaliyeva (130)3rd place — Anastasia Nazmieva (125) • Discus Throw2007–20081st place — Zhansmin Begalinova (21.78) 2009–20101st place — Tannur Maksutkhan (18.46)2nd place — Zhasmina Nurlypasetova (16.73)3rd place — Aruzhan Kanatkyzy (15.32) 2011 and younger1st place — Sofia Mukhamadieva (24.17)2nd place — Ellina Ustyantseva (20.90)3rd place — Ayauzhan Ermekkyzy (16.93) • Hammer Throw2005–20061st place — Valeria Loginova (38.14) 2007–20081st place — Viktoria Shataeva (33.19) 2009–20101st place — Milana Zaitseva (40.92)2nd place — Diana Nagel (35.55) 2011 and younger1st place — Polina Nazarova (15.68) • Javelin Throw2005–20061st place — Kristina Zakharchenko (28.89) 2009–20101st place — Tannur Maksutkhan2nd place — Valeria Zyryanova (23.24)3rd place — Aruzhan Kanatkyzy (18.49) 2011 and younger1st place — Nurailym Orazbayeva (17.19)2nd place — Aruzhan Kalibekova (15.00) RELAY 4×200 m • 2005–20061st place — Darya Pavlenko, Yasmina Tusupova, Nadiya Kerimova, Kamila Eskendirova (U-Ka) — 1:48.22 • 2007–20081st place — Evgeniya Yakusheva, Dilnaz Karimova, Ardak Bazhenova, Aigerim Beisenova — 2:28.332nd place — Valeria Grokholova, Anastasia Shapovalova, Zhamilya Abaikhanova, Sayana Zheksengali — 2:28.59 • 2009–20101st place — Vasilisa Selezneva, Maria Sergach, Darya Potocheskaya, Yaroslava Semenova (Ridder) — 1:52.712nd place — Lidiya Shcherbneva, Ksenia Gusenko, Anna Kolmykova, Karina Pakhomova (Abai region) — 2:11.413rd place — Tannur Maksutkhan, Kumis Boltabek, Nurayim Orazbayeva, Kausar Serzhankyzy (Zaysan) — 2:22.16 • 2011 and younger1st place — Yana Khairudinova, Varvara Zhukova, Zhaniya Aubakirova, Alina Boltabayeva (U-Ka) — 1:59.202nd place — Polina Chaikovskaya, Amina Kaliyeva, Amina Tileuzhankyzy, Alina Ivanova (U-Ka) — 2:01.603rd place — Polina Shiryaeva, Ayala Abdikaris, Alina Orazova, Kausar Myktybek (U-Ka) — 2:04.40

The Open East Kazakhstan Athletics Championship kicked off in Ust-Kamenogorsk

On April 2, the two-day Open East Kazakhstan Regional Athletics Championship began at the “Olga Rypakova” Athletics Center, bringing together athletes from five age categories. The scale of the competition is impressive: both experienced Masters of Sport (born in 2004 and older) and very young participants (born in 2011 and younger) took to the tracks and technical sectors. The championship confirmed its “open” status by gathering representatives from many regions. Competing against the host city, Ust-Kamenogorsk, were strong teams from Ridder, as well as the Zaysan, Glubokovsky, Ulan, Kurchum (including Markakol village), and Samar districts. The first day of the competition took place with massive support from the stands, with about a thousand fans watching the athletes’ performances. A solemn opening ceremony was held, where Olympic champion Olga Rypakova and honored veterans of the sport addressed the participants with words of encouragement. Their presence served as the best motivation for the youth striving for their first major records. The program of the starting day was extremely busy. Salaries of youth sports school (DYuSSh) coaches in Kazakhstan will increase by 30%.

Today, the Head of State signed the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Issues of Supporting the Tourism Industry and Children’s Sports.” As part of implementing the поручение (instructions) of the Head of State, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports developed a draft law introducing per capita funding for children and youth sports schools (DYuSSh). Within this legislative framework, measures are being implemented to increase the salaries of DYuSSh coach-teachers. The salary increase for DYuSSh coach-teachers will amount to 30% of their base salary. The additional payment will be granted to coach-teachers who have passed qualification testing and conduct training in accordance with national sports training standards. Currently, there are 526 DYuSSh operating in the country, with a total of more than 15,000 coach-teachers. It is expected that around 30% of all coaches will undergo qualification testing each year. Testing is conducted by the Republican Educational, Methodological and Analytical Center for Physical Culture and Sports. The allocation of additional funds from local budgets has been approved by the decision of the Republican Budget Commission. Thus, for 2026–2028, 74 billion tenge will be allocated, including 1.8 billion tenge for salary supplements for coach-teachers, while the remaining funds will be directed toward material and technical support of DYuSSh, children’s participation in competitions and training camps, pharmacological support, equipment, and more. The measures provided are aimed at increasing the prestige of the coaching profession, attracting and retaining qualified specialists in the system of youth sports, as well as forming a sustainable foundation for developing a sports talent pipeline. The transition to per capita funding will make it possible to comprehensively improve the level of support for youth sports. On average, 415,000 tenge per year will be allocated for one athlete in DYuSSh, compared to the current average of 233,000 tenge under the estimate-based funding model. In total, 526 DYuSSh currently serve 398,342 athletes, with enrollment starting from the age of 5.
