Only 2000 were let down
The athletes of Ust-Kamenogorsk with a clear advantage won the tournament in this sport within the framework of the XXI Games of National Sports for the prizes of the Akim of East Kazakhstan region. Initially, the athletics tournament of the Games was supposed to be held at the Olga Rypakova athletics Center, but for the sake of rehearsals for the opening ceremony of the Games and in connection with the equipment installed there, which simply would not allow the competition to be held unhindered, it was decided to move it to the Vostok stadium. As a sin, on this day Ust-Kamenogorsk plunged into another wave of the cold climatic front, and the competitions acquired a special flavor – people wrapped in a blanket, winter down jackets and lips turned blue from the cold were not uncommon here. But, most importantly, these inconveniences were not discouraged from winning. The first set of awards for the girls’ long jump was played. Here, our 18-year-old beautiful compatriot Anastasia Zavodina, who will compete at the Asian Junior Championships in the near future, had only one attempt to win! 5.32 m is quite a result for Anastasia. But if this is enough to win, then why put the body at risk of injury before important competitions? And even in such weather conditions. Then the strongest stayers played awards in the 2000 m race. This became the only discipline in which Ust-Kamenogorsk failed to get into the winners. But in a similar men’s race, Amir Baitukanov tried his best to compete with the superfavorite from Ridder Andrey Leimenov. Unfortunately, our countryman failed to win, but managed to finish second by a wide margin – 5:51.38. Then it was the turn of the final races in the 60 m sprint. Vladislav Leshin was the main favorite among men, despite the short distance, and our countryman confirmed his favorite status – 7.22 seconds, and another victory is ours! Women have equally successful applicants. Predictably, there were no people capable of competing on equal terms with Arina Kharlamova from Ridder. Svetlana Malezhina won the third place with a score of 8.6 s. Ustkamenogorets won the men’s long jump, and quite unexpectedly. Vitaly Licenberger, of course, is a famous athlete, a multiple winner of the Championship of Kazakhstan, but in a completely different discipline – the barrier sprint! So his result – 6.7 m – was somewhat shocking, as was his victory. Alexey Ponomarev from Borodulikhinsky district, who is a specialized long jumper, initially looked like the favorite here. The competition program was crowned by a mixed relay of 4 to 200 m. Two men and two women spoke for each city and district. The Ust-Kamenogorsk team was slightly inferior to Semey before the last stage, but as soon as Vladislav Leshin received the wand, everything fell into place. The long-legged Vladislav, using the advantage of stride length, easily bypassed Rinat Ultarakov and led our team to another victory. Golden crumbs
The young age of the championship participants does not mean that there was nothing interesting here. On the contrary, it is here that you can see real sports in all its glory – intrigue twisted to the limit, a huge number of participants, each of whom has already managed to prove himself at the national level, and, of course, sincere joy from victories, which is not always possible to see at competitions among adults. The reporting championship was held in Karaganda and became truly triumphant for East Kazakhstan athletes. Our national team became the second, second only to the owners of the stadium, and the number of medals won is so much that no article will be enough to tell about each of them. Separately, I would like to note the unconditional success of Ust-Kamenogorsk athlete Valeria Bromat. She is only 14 years old, and she was one of the youngest at this championship, but the miracle girl eventually won three championship titles at once, winning victories in the 100 m, long jump and as part of the 4-100 m relay together with Maria Sukhorukova, Elina Ustinovich and Olga Pulyaeva from Ridder in the composition! In addition, Bromat also became a bronze medalist, finishing third in the 4200 m relay, where she was again helped by Sukhorukova, Ustinovich and another Ridder pupil Maria Iskendirova! But Arina Gladysheva, a 12-year-old girl from Ridder, plunged fans of this sport and specialists into even greater shock. This miracle excelled in the most grueling 1000 m and 2000 m races, eventually winning two championship titles! In total, the East Kazakhstan Region national team has 9 awards of the highest dignity, and more than half of them went to two of our little superstars. Four more triumphs were won by Elena Trontova from the village of Belousovka in the shot put, Elnur Zhumabekov from Ust-Kamenogorsk in the pole vault, and two more “golds” are associated with the name of Andrei Ignatikov. First, he won a personal 110 m hurdles race, and then, in the company of Zhandos Zhakypov, Gleb Snegirev and Ernur Surkhanov, he made a sensation and won the 4 200 m relay. We jumped to glory
On June 2, the Altay jumping party took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk on the central square of the Republic. No matter what anyone says, but pole vaulting is the most spectacular kind of athletics, and if they are held outdoors, it is doubly so. Yesterday, for the first time in Kazakhstan, pole vaulting took place on the central square, where the most active residents of Ust-Kamenogorsk came to watch the competition. Seven athletes, including foreign jumpers, one representative each from Turkey, Belarus and Ukraine, came to the administrative center of East Kazakhstan Region to support these very young starts. Impressions went off scale not only among athletes and spectators, but also among the organizers of this holiday themselves. The head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region made a welcoming speech Askar Mozhanov, noting that these competitions are being held for the first time. The Sports director of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alexander Kosheev, was also present. If we say that young people just went out, took a running start and jumped, it means to hide a lot of interesting things and deceive our readers. They did not just jump, but flew away, and then landed so spectacularly that not a single attempt was complete without numerous applause and encouraging whistles from the audience. The fans were so interested that they jumped off their seats and openly cheered for the participants. By the way, the audience was not left without attention either. After each successful jump, the athlete sent either a T-shirt or a water bottle to the crowd, and there the whole battle for the prize began. An athlete from Belarus became the leader of the competition Vladislav Chamarmazovich. I would like to note that up to 5.55 m, starting from 5 m, the athlete took it confidently on the first attempt! Our countryman came in second place Sergey Grigoriev scored 5.30 m, and Turkish jumper Aydemir Ilkay finished third with 5.20 m. Well, to draw a line, we note that all athletes jumped on the “personal”, and someone set new high results. – These competitions were held at a high level. – Alexander Koshcheev summed up the sports festival. – A lot of people gathered today, which is good news. The results shown today are far from bad to begin with! The company was good (laughs). Grigoriev did a good job, he jumped from a short run successfully, especially after being injured at the Asian Winter Games. The work of the organizers is perfectly visible and it pleases! The show turned out well! After the competition, the winners were awarded with cash certificates, and all received commemorative Altay jumping party medals. Children’s trail in Altay Half Marathon 2018
As part of this bright event, in addition to the 21 km 097 m half marathon, a charity run and the Altay Kids Run for 1000 m were also held. Whole children’s companies of participants came on a rainy morning to the Irtysh Embankment, where the start was given, to run along with everyone and leave their mark on this event. Someone came with their parents, someone with classmates, and someone had already started athletics professionally and came with their team. We thank everyone for participating in our sports festival and for striving to make this world more athletic with us!
