A seminar on the international Kids’ Athletics program, aimed at developing fundamental athletics skills in children, was held at the East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Youth Sports School of Athletics.
The seminar was conducted by international athletics judge, certified lecturer of World Athletics, first-category coach Alexander Kruglikov, and athletics coach Ramiz Kartayev. During the seminar, participants were introduced to modern teaching approaches, practical exercises, and game-based formats designed to develop speed, coordination, and endurance in children.
Kids’ Athletics is one of the largest mass participation development programs in the world of sport. It was established in 2002 and underwent a comprehensive update in 2021, becoming available in a digital format. As a result, the program has become more inclusive, flexible, adaptable, and engaging for children, young people, and sports practitioners.
Such events contribute to improving teachers’ qualifications and promoting athletics among the younger generation.
