Over 150 People Took Off from the Foot of the Mountain on the Morning of May 1

“Today’s run is held as part of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan,” commented Danil Sokolov, Director of the East Kazakhstan Region Athletics Federation. “It was organized with the help and support of the regional akimat, the Department of Sports and Physical Culture of EKR, the House of Friendship, and our Athletics Federation. Today’s event is record-breaking — over 150 participants. In previous years, up to 100 people joined. It’s great to see so many young people getting involved in sports. All participants received commemorative medals, and the top three in each age group were awarded medals of appropriate distinction.”

After catching their breath at the finish line, participants began taking commemorative photos. Beautiful Perizat, 33, took part in the run for the first time. Her little son was waiting for her at the summit.

Elaman, 22, serves in Fire Station No. 4 (Sogra). His colleague Rinat from Fire Station No. 5 (Ablaketa) is 21. For rescuers, tough runs are an integral part of the profession.

Kuanish Yntykbayev is a professional athlete. He heads the volleyball club “Shygys,” but only started taking up running as a sport two months ago. He was delighted with a double victory: in his age group (40–59), he was the fastest runner. In addition, his volleyball students finished among the top ten.

The best runner in the younger group was Nurdaulet Adilbek, who reached the summit in 6 minutes 42 seconds. Second place went to Samir Kunantaev with a time of 7 minutes 34 seconds. Ramazan Bakytzhanov was nine seconds behind him, finishing third. Among girls aged 14–17, first place was taken by Alyona Pereverzeva with a time of 8 minutes 14 seconds. Second place went to Ekaterina Gavrilova (9 minutes 38 seconds), and third to Valentina Kalinina, who reached the top in 11 minutes 3 seconds.

In the 18–39 age group among men, Ayan Kasymov won with a time of 5 minutes 40 seconds. Second place went to Danil Kuznetsov (6 minutes 7 seconds), and third to Amir Mamyrbekov (6 minutes 23 seconds).

Among women in this age group, the winner was Nadezhda Vizigina, who finished in 7 minutes 29 seconds. Second place went to Darya Altemirova (7 minutes 40 seconds), and third to Ulyana Kaloshina (8 minutes 22 seconds).

In the men’s 40–59 age group, the results were as follows: Kuanish Yntykbayev — first place with 8 minutes 12 seconds; second — Zhasulan Taukenov (9 minutes 35 seconds); third — Ruslan Yerkimbekov (10 minutes 34 seconds). In the women’s 40–59 category, the winner was Indira Ospanova (9 minutes 24 seconds), followed by Tatyana Morozova (9 minutes 55 seconds), and Natalia Demidkova (11 minutes 30 seconds).
