Unity Day of the Peoples of Kazakhstan
On May 1, Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted a traditional parade in honor of the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Kazakhstan. The festive procession started from Pobedy Avenue, walked along Kazakhstan Street, and finished at Republic Square. More than 10 thousand citizens attended the celebration. Olga Rypakova, the champion of the 2012 Olympic Games, took part in the march together with the team of the East Kazakhstan Regional Children’s and Youth Athletics Sports School of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the East Kazakhstan region.
