The students of the coaching courses in Shymkent successfully passed the exams

Regular courses for domestic mentors organized by the Scientific and Technical Center of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the participation of specialists from the Republican Educational, Methodological and Analytical Center for Physical Culture and Sports have been completed in Shymkent.

For 12 days, more than 50 trainers from eight regions of Kazakhstan conducted methodical work on acquiring new professional knowledge, and after successfully passing practical and theoretical exams, all of them received certificates of advanced training. In addition, 24 people from the total number of students completed in-depth training under the IAAF Kids Athletics program, becoming holders of the relevant certificates of the International Association of Athletics Federations.

The general results of the courses were summed up by the head of the Scientific and Technical Center of the Republican Federation Alexander Kruglikov:

– In general, everything went well, and, according to the participants themselves, the courses helped them a lot. In addition to a wide range of topics directly related to athletics, classes were held on anti-doping requirements in modern sports, sports psychology and some other topical issues. Many young trainers participated in the courses, and many of them noted that the seminars and trainings were interesting and useful. I would like to express my gratitude to the official IAAF lecturer from Estonia, Viktor Predbannikov, and all our specialists who acted as teachers.

– What were the most remarkable moments in the current courses?

– All participants probably remembered the visit to the orphanage in Sairam, the starts held there, as well as the Kids Athletics program competitions for students of the Shymkent Youth Sports School, held on the penultimate day of the course. The Kids Athletics program is successfully developing abroad, and after studying it in detail, our coaches working with children will now be able to apply their knowledge in daily activities. I would also like to note that during the courses, our students tried their hand at various athletics disciplines – discus throwing, pole vaulting, and made practical presentations themselves, which gave them the opportunity to expand their existing skills.

– What are your future plans?

– Specialized training courses for judges are to be held in Almaty from December 25 to December 29. Preparations for this event have already begun, and an international judge from Tajikistan, Vadim Nigmatov, who has experience working at major world competitions and is the manager of the European Athletics Association, will speak as one of the lecturers. We hope that these courses will also become a notable event in the athletics life of the country.

In conclusion, we note that the coaching courses in Shymkent were held with the support of the NOC of the Republic of Kazakhstan and under the program of the IOC project “Olympic Solidarity”.
