The shells are flying, but not far

On June 13, on the second day of the national championship in Almaty, representatives of the throwing group played three sets of awards – in the morning program, male hammers found out the relationship, and after lunch, the strongest in discus throwing for women and men became known.

In the first of these disciplines, all three places on the podium were taken by representatives of East Kazakhstan, however, the results they showed were quite low. The first was 22-year-old Vladimir Torlopov, who was almost two meters ahead of 25–year-old Oleg Lyubimov and three and a little meters ahead of 20-year-old Alexei Vladimirova.

June 13th. The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Hammer throwing. Men:

1. Vladimir Torlopov (East Kazakhstan Region) – 50.01 m

2. Oleg Lyubimov (East Kazakhstan Region) – 48.25 m

3. Alexey Vladimirov (East Kazakhstan Region) – 46.72 m

But in the discus throwers’ dispute, the winners’ results turned out to be higher, but the athletes who became the first to reach their personal records still fell noticeably short. For women, the gold went to the participant of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, 23-year-old Maria Telushkina from Almaty, and for men – to her peer Evgeny Milovatsky from the Mangistau region.
