Celebration of Sports Day in Ust-Kamenogorsk
On August 15, 2014, Ust–Kamenogorsk hosted a number of events dedicated to the celebration of Sports Day.
On the morning before the Sports Day, the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region, together with the city authorities, organized mass gymnastics in Ust-Kamenogorsk. About 1,500 people did exercises that day, the website reports 1720.kz . Representatives of the Shygys-Svinetsstroy volleyball club, civil servants, the Vostok football club, athletes from the regional center and many others came to warm up early on Friday morning. The lesson was conducted by employees of the Astana Fitness club, as well as a group of cheerleaders from among those involved in this sport in the Schoolchildren’s Palace. – Participation in such actions is, first of all, fun, – track and field athlete Yulia Tsaregorodtseva shares her impressions. – In addition, such events contribute to the unity of Ust-Kamenogorsk sports teams, because not only we, athletes, but also representatives of many other sports came here.
Immediately after charging, a forum dedicated to the Sports Day was held at the Martial Arts Palace. The forum discussed the achievements of the region over the past six months. The athletics center was visited by the participants of the forum, women akims of rural districts, Almaty, Karaganda and Pavlodar regions.
At 13:00, athletics competitions among girls and boys born in 1997 were held at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center.
