Review of the last competitive day of the Kazakhstan Championship in Almaty

ALMOST A MARATHON FOR SPRINTERS

The East Kazakhstan Region national team won a very serious victory in the 4-400m relay, winning bronze medals. Running 400 m is not called a marathon sprint for nothing, because it requires a combination of fast running with incredible endurance. Alexander Aksyutin and Vladimir Feshchenko are still associated with performing at much shorter distances, so it was hard to believe in their effectiveness in this relay. But courage and the ability to endure do their job, and Aksyutin and Feshchenko, as well as relay partners Vladislav Kabdualiev and Valery Pasha, managed to impose a very serious struggle on the Kostanay region team for the silver medal, losing only 0.1 seconds! Unfortunately, it was a long way to Karaganda residents.

But our girls’ national team won the second relay race. Moreover, it is almost unchanged in composition. Compared to the 4 to 100 m relay, there was only one change in the line–up – instead of Daria Demchenko, Anna Maidankina took the start. And our girls ran so that it was very expensive to watch! The difference in results between the first place of the East Kazakhstan Region national team and the team of the Akmola region, which finished second, was simply incredible … 12 seconds! Thanks to this success, Ekaterina Efremova (pictured) became a four-time champion of Kazakhstan! Anastasia Zavodina is a three–time winner, Alexandra Egorina won her fourth medal at this championship, and Anna Maidankina finally tasted victory on the last day!
