Open Athletics Championship for Young Athletes Held in Ust-Kamenogorsk

On March 7, 2026, the athletics center “Olga Rypakova” in Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the Open Championship of the Municipal State Institution “East Kazakhstan Regional Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve in Athletics” among boys and girls of younger age groups. Young athletes born in 2013–2014, 2015–2016, as well as those born in 2017 and younger took part in the competition.

The tournament took place in an atmosphere of sporting excitement, friendly support, and sincere joy from the first victories. For many participants, these starts became an important step on the path to big sports and an opportunity to test their abilities on the athletics track.

The competition program included the 50 m sprint, 50 m hurdles, 200 m, 600 m, and the long jump. Preliminary and final heats were held in the 50 m and 200 m events, allowing young athletes to show determination and compete for the best results until the finish line.

In the senior age group among boys born in 2013–2014, Ernest Agumbaev confidently won the 50 m race with a result of 7.08 seconds. He also became the winner in the 200 m with a time of 27.18 seconds. In the 600 m race, Yelnur Adilbek took first place with a result of 1:47.33. In the long jump, Kirill Rypakov achieved the best result with a jump of 5.30 meters.

Among the youngest participants born in 2017 and younger, Leon Sinelnikov, Sardar Abdikarim, and Bekasyl Baktiyarov stood out with strong performances in sprint events and the long jump.

Among girls born in 2013–2014, Alina Boltabaeva won the 50 m race and also achieved the best result in the 200 m, demonstrating a high level of preparation. Amina Kalieva excelled in the hurdles event, while Amina Kalieva and Amina Tileuzhankyzy showed the best results in the long jump.

In the 2015–2016 age category, Anna Sidorova, Diana Sholokh, and Aisha Rauankyzy demonstrated strong performances, confirming their high level of training and motivation for athletic growth.

The support of coaches and spectators helped the young athletes show determination, a desire to win, and a love for athletics.

Holding such competitions plays an important role in the development of youth sports in the region and in shaping the future generation of athletes.

The winners and prize-winners were awarded by Olympic champion in the triple jump Olga Rypakova.
