On October 4, 2025, the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center in Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the Open Championship of the East Kazakhstan School of Athletics. The competition brought together boys and girls born in 2013–2014, as well as athletes born in 2015 and younger.
The young athletes demonstrated their skills in 50m and 500m races, long jump, and concluded the program with a 4x200m relay that involved all teams.
The event aimed to promote athletics among children, provide valuable competition experience, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. It was organized by the East Kazakhstan Athletics Federation and the East Kazakhstan School of Athletics.
At the end of the competition, winners and prizewinners were awarded certificates and medals. For many participants, this was their first serious sporting experience, while for coaches it became an important step in preparing future champions.
