On August 31, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. in Ust-Kamenogorsk, a memorial run dedicated to USSR Master of Sports, legendary coach and mentor — Rakhymgazy Nurgaliyevich Kosherbayev will take place.
Route: from the HPP (Ablaketka) to the Akimat of Ust-Kamenogorsk (17 Permitin Street)
Distance: 12 km
Registration: from 06:00 to 07:45 at the starting point
The run will be held in the following age categories:
under 17, 18–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70+.
Winners and prize-winners will be awarded certificates, medals, and commemorative gifts.
Rakhymgazy Nurgaliyevich was a multiple champion of the Kazakh SSR, participant of international competitions, who dedicated 43 years of his life to sports, and trained champions of Kazakhstan and the world. For more than 40 years, he worked as a coach at the “Vostok” sports club.
