On December 15, an innovative methodology for organizing the athletics training process was implemented at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Centre, in collaboration with the Regional Sports Medicine Clinic led by Director Alexander Yuryevich Lushchaev. This initiative was carried out in accordance with the training development plan for our Sports School (SDYUSSHOR) coaches.
Using a modern device to determine lactate (lactic acid) levels, an experimental training session was conducted for the Kazakhstan National Athletics Team and SDYUSSHOR students, featuring controlled measurements following submaximal physical exertion. Thanks to the data collected, coaches can now monitor the physical workload of each athlete individually during training and assess the level and speed of recovery processes within the athlete’s body.
This testing, which will now be conducted regularly at our facility, will facilitate the optimal attainment of peak competitive form for the upcoming crucial starts of the 2016 season.
