Olga Rypakova announced her retirement

  Olympic champion and multiple Olympic medalist, Russian track and field athlete Olga Rypakova has officially completed her professional career. She announced this at the closing of the 10th Asian Indoor Athletics Championships. “I am grateful to my country! From the president and sports executives to his youngest fan, only for one single, but very important thing – faith in me.  I am grateful to fate and God for the opportunity to realize me as a person, as a professional athlete,” the athlete said. Results of the first two days of the X Asian Indoor Athletics Championships On February 10, the X Asian Indoor Athletics Championships started in Astana. The opening ceremony was attended by President of the Asian Athletics Association Dahlan Al-Hamad, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, President of the Athletics Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Danial Akhmetov and wished success to athletes from 31 countries.
