The extraordinary conference of the Kazakhstan athletics federation was an event outside of one sport. On December 7, an extraordinary conference of the athletics federation was held in Astana. The heads of regional federations and major cities of Astana and Almaty were invited to participate in it. The conference was attended by akim of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov, who was recently elected head of the regional athletics federation, and Minister of culture and Sports Arystanbek Mukhamediuly. The conference was hosted by the head of the Athletics Federation of the country, head of the administration of the president of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov. When considering the issues listed on the agenda, it was decided that for the convenience of carrying out its activities, an independent legal entity will be a scientific and Technical Center, which was previously included in the structure of the Kazakhstan Athletics Federation. Danial Akhmetov was elected a member of the Executive Committee of the country’s Athletics Federation. Regional federations are part of the Republican Federation. The reports of the head coach of the National Athletics Team of Kazakhstan Grigory Yegorov and the first vice-president of the Athletics Federation Eldar Tabanov were discussed. At the end of the conference, the president of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov solemnly presented gifts to Kazakhstani athletes who won medals at the Asian Games in closed rooms in Ashgabat.
