City Athletics Championship, December 3–4, 2016

The beginning of December proved to be bright and impressive for track and field athletes. On December 3rd and 4th, the Open Ust-Kamenogorsk Athletics Championship was held at the Olga Rypakova Arena. The total number of athletes reached a surprising figure of over 200 participants. This included not only athletes from Ust-Kamenogorsk but also representatives from Ridder, Belousovka, Glubokoye, and Shemonaikha. The primary goal of the competition was to select athletes for the upcoming EKO (East Kazakhstan) Championship, dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will take place very soon on December 9th and 10th. The proximity of these events is expected to help athletes maintain their competitive edge and improve their sports mastery. The EKO Regional Championship will be held among juniors and adults (born 1998 and older), as well as boys/girls in the 1999–2000 and 2001–2002 age groups.
