Kusmanov, Gafner, and Kem Crowned Kazakhstan Athletics Champions

Kusmanov, Gafner, and Kem Crowned Kazakhstan Athletics Champions The most successful performance in the EKR national team came from Erika Kem. This girl can literally do it all. She secured bronze medals in two different running disciplines, finishing third in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.6 seconds and in the 4x400m relay, where she was joined by Savelyeva, Kharlamova, and Nesterova. However, her “gold” came from the shot put with a throw of 10.94 meters. With three medals in total, she became the most decorated athlete among our sportswomen at this championship. Our relay runners from Ridder, Alina Savelyeva and Arina Kharlamova, each have two medals to their credit. They secured two bronze medals in two different relay events. The first was mentioned above, while the second came in the 4x800m relay. Interestingly, this relay team was entirely composed of athletes from Ridder—Savelyeva and Kharlamova were joined by Tatyana Druzhina and Moldir Seitkhanova. Druzhina also won a silver medal in the 1500m run, completing the distance in 4 minutes and 55 seconds. As expected, Artur Gafner claimed the champion title with a javelin throw of 63.2 meters. Artur has faced no real competition in his sector for quite some time. On the other hand, the triumph of Imanmadi Kusmanov from Semey in the 800m run was not as inevitable, making his victory with a time of 1:53.17 all the more valuable. Nikolai Klimenko brought “silver” to the EKR team in the discus throw, reaching 44.09 meters. Another representative of the throwing disciplines, Magzhan Zhakypbekov, finished third in the javelin throw with a mark of 47.6 meters. Alexey Gubanov Source: vksport.kz
