They distinguished themselves

On February 3, the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center hosted the Ust-Kamenogorsk Open Athletics Championship among juniors born in 1999-2000, senior boys and girls born in 2001-2002, born in 2003 and younger. Young athletes competed in eight disciplines: running 60 m, 60 m s/w, 200 m, 600 m, shot put, high jump, long jump and pole vault for boys. This championship was not without those athletes who showed their athletic abilities “perfectly” and won more than one prize. About this in more detail. Let’s start with the boys. At the shortest distance of this competition, 60 m, Alexander Aksyutin became the clear winner among juniors – 7.29 s. By the way, in the preliminary race, the athlete won 0.5 s – 7.24 s. Recall that in January Aksyutin took part in the championship of Kazakhstan, where he competed with the strongest runners of the country. Then, in the final protocol among 40 participants, he took the 16th place with a result of 7.40. This time, the athlete has noticeably improved his result. Immediately after Aksyutin, another equally notable athlete, Rustem Kartaev, finished with 7.36 s. The athlete managed to duplicate his result, because in the preliminary race he ran with exactly the same indicator. Well, the third place went to Semyon Pilyugin (7.65 c). In addition to running at 60 m, Aksyutin managed to take prizes at a distance of 200 m, and Kartaev, in addition to these two, also became a prize-winner in the 60 m s/w. As expected, Alexander was the first with a big advantage. The runner’s result is 22.94 s. Aksyutin covered the distance almost a whole second faster than the vice-champion of the city in this form Daniil Sokolov – 23.78 s. Well, the third place went to Rustem Kartaev. As mentioned above, three–time competition medalist Rustem Kartaev won his third diploma for a successful start in the 60 m run – 9.22 s. The athlete lost in this competition to his brother Ramiz Kartaev (8.80 s) and Ilyas Kadyrov (8.88 s). Among the older boys, there were also two athletes who took away several awards at the end of the competition. Alexander Shvetsov and Akylzhan Tokatagalin. Both athletes took part in the 60 m run and settled down as follows: Valery Pasha (7.60 s), Akylzhan Toktagalin (7.94 s), and Shvetsov became the third with a result of 7.99 s. The second type for the vice-champion of the city in the 60 m run was the high jump. That’s where Toktagalin won. He managed to jump with a score of 185 cm, leaving Vladislav Bakhtin and Roman Grigoriev behind. Shvetsov managed to climb the podium for the second time in the 200 m run, where with a score of 25.71 s. the athlete rightfully became the best in this discipline among his peers. Vyacheslav Alpatov, a member of the age group born in 2005-2006, was also among those who distinguished themselves at the last start. In the 60 and 200 m races, the young runner finished first, and became twice the holder of the title of “champion of the city”. Andrey Ignatikov and Yerasyl Murzamukhambetov also took part in several disciplines at once, where they showed good results. At the award ceremony, Yerasyl was invited to the podium as many as three times, because in all three sports the athlete was among the best. Running at 60 m and 60 m s/w, as well as long jumps.  In the same turn, Ignatikov took part in the 200 m distance (2nd place) and hurdles (1st place). Roman Grigoriev can be safely called the best jumper of the competition, as he decided to try his hand at both long jump and high jump. Grigoriev was still more lucky “On the length”, because he became the first, jumping over his rivals with a result of 5.59 m. But in the pole vault, he lost the first and second places to Zhumabekov, Nursultan and Elnur. Among the girls, there were also those athletes who repeatedly climbed the podium. Valeria Bromat is a two-time champion of Ust-Kamenogorsk in the 60 m run and long jump. This girl was born in 2004, but speaking with older athletes, Valeria, having made efforts, still does not give the status of a leader to competitors. This time the situation was similar. In the 60 m run, this promising athlete finished with a score of 7.88 s, ahead of Victoria Brichevskaya by 0.30 s. In the long jump, Bromat also noticeably distinguished herself – 5.43 m. And also, the list of those who managed to win two prizes at once included: Ayim Kasanova (running 60 and 200 m), Sofia Toiskina (running 60 and 200 m), Lisana Savchenko (running 60 m and long jump), Regina Behnke (running 60 m and long jump), Anastasia Dyatlova (60 m running and long jump), Polina Bakhtina (long jump and high jump). Karaganda VS VKO

On February 19-20, Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the Athletics Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among senior boys and girls born in 2001-2002. On two competitive days, the younger Kazakhstani athletes fought for the title of national champion. In parallel with this start, older athletes competed there at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center (For more information about the youth championship on the official website of the Athletics Federation of East Kazakhstan Region https://flavko.kz/news/850650-borba-prodoljaetsya ). Young East Kazakhstanis won a total of sixteen medals at the republican start. About everything in order. Among the guys, the clear leader was Ust-Talovsk runner Efim Tarasov, who managed to climb the first step of the podium twice. The young man took part in the 400 m race, where he became the winner with a score of 49.40 s and set a new record for Kazakhstan among his peers. In the preliminary result, Tarasov showed a result of 50.11 s, it was then, with a decent margin of almost 4 seconds from the silver medalist from the Karaganda region Kirill Grigoryan (53.44 s – preliminary result), our athlete crossed the finish line. But in the final 400 m race, the Karaganda resident gave his best, and lost to Efim 0.24 s. This talented guy brought the second gold award to the East Kazakhstan Region’s piggy bank together with Vladimir Feshchenko, Valery Pasha and Vladimir Lavrushenko in the hottest form of athletics – the 4 200 m relay. “Will the East Kazakhstan Region team become a leader?” – this question worried all the fans from East Kazakhstan, because our guys could not take the leading positions, but they did stay close to it. Tarasov was the last of these four to start, who, it would seem, if he helps his relay team to get among the winners, then not with a winning result. Kirill Grigoryan from Karaganda, the one who competed with our Tarasov at the 400 m distance, was already on his way to victory. Yefim, without giving up his position, moved around the circle confidently and so quickly that by the finish line he collided with Grigoryan shoulder to shoulder, and his last jerk became decisive. Our East Kazakhstan citizen beat his opponent by 0.2 seconds. In addition to this relay, Vladimir Feshchenko was able to get among the fastest in the 200 m race. The struggle of the strongest runner of East Kazakhstan Region was, oddly enough, with the same Grigoryan. Apparently Kirill is the brightest athlete who regularly challenges athletes from East Kazakhstan region. Feshchenko still lost the first place to him – 22.92 s, but it cannot be said that he did it easily. It was a real fight! Akylzhan Toktagalin became the best in the high jump, having fought with twelve competitors from different parts of Kazakhstan. The result of our jumper is 190 cm. Sergey Dementyev from Karaganda finished his speech in a similar way, but, as always, all attempts were solved. Toktagalin had enough of one to get closer to the 2 meter mark, unlike the Karaganda athlete, who took the height only from the second. Pole vaulting has also borne fruit for the East Kazakhstan region. Two brothers from East Kazakhstan region, Zhumabekov Nursultan and Zhumabekov Yernur, were among the five participants. But, unfortunately, only one of them managed to get into the number of winners – Yernur – 3.70 m – third place. Dmitry Lukichev put another “bronze” in the piggy bank of our region in the shot put (13.94 m). As the athlete himself said: “I think that he didn’t push very badly,” which we congratulate him on. Thanks to their successful performance, the girls brought positive emotions in addition to awards. The fastest East Kazakhstan runner in the 60 m distance among senior girls, Valeria Bromat, became the third at the republican start with a score of 8.03 s. Despite the fact that this is not the best result of our promising athlete, it was quite enough to distinguish herself at these competitions. After all, in the preliminary races, her result of 8.02 s was one of the best among all 34 shown. So, Bromate does not give up his position and continues to fight for his prize place. In the 200 and 400 m races, East Kazakhstan Region has two third places from Alexandra Egorina (200 m run – 26.63 s) and Ayim Kaysanova (400 m run – 59.37 s). Kaysanova, who showed a result of 1:01.77 in the preliminary performance, accelerated noticeably in the final race and improved the time by more than 2 seconds. Daria Demchenko won another third place in the 60 m hurdles. At first, her result of 9.23 s. helped her make it to the finals, and already in the decisive race made her the bronze medalist of this competition. In the 800m and 1500m races, Regina Mitrofanova killed two birds with one stone. The girl became the second in the 800 m distance – 2:18.89, losing only 0.26 s to Nadezhda Yurchenko from the North Kazakhstan region, and at a distance longer than the East Kazakhstan became the winner at all 4:50.45, overtaking 15 more rivals. Elizaveta Matveeva, like Efim Tarasov, brought two gold medals to East Kazakhstan Region at once, but in completely different disciplines. Her crowning achievements are the high jump (170 cm) and the pentathlon. In the most enduring form of the girls’ all-around, Matveeva scored the most points (777), performing in the 60 m running, long and high jumps, shot put and 800 m running. And finally, our girls won two prizes in two relay races 4 for 200 and 4 for 400 m. A well–formed trio fought for leadership on both the first and second days of the competition – Anna Maidankina, Alexandra Egorina and Ayim Kaysanova, as well as Olga Pulyaeva (4 for 200 m) and Regina Mitrofanova (4 for 400 m), who received her third medal in the final competition of the championship! Among all the regions, the East Kazakhstan region,

Olga Rypakova: “This happened to me for the first time”

The 17th World Indoor Athletics Championships will be held in Birmingham in early March. It was during these terms that the strongest athlete in the triple jump was invited to the award ceremony, where a bronze award from ten years ago will be presented. Olga Rypakova herself shared her impressions of this news and told about her future plans, since the athlete is currently at training camps in Thailand. – Olga, tell us what emotions are you experiencing? After all, the situation can be viewed from two sides: on the one hand, the reward, on the other, the circumstances. – Actually, there are no emotions. Ten years have passed, and in connection with such circumstances, according to the rules, it is simply necessary to transfer the medal to another participant. So much time has passed, I don’t even remember exactly how everything went (smiles). Feelings of joy and delight, to be honest, are not felt. I believe that this should be done in hot pursuit. – Have there been similar cases during your sports career, or is this the first time? – This is the first time with me when a medal passes to me from another athlete. – Let’s still be nostalgic. Tell us about that start, because then it hasn’t been long since you started competing in the triple jump? – I was pleased with my result – 14.58 m. Yes, it hasn’t been long. In the summer of 2007, I tried my hand at the triple jump for the first time, immediately fulfilling the standard for the World Championships in Valencia. We went to Spain without thinking at all about prizes and high results, as I understood that I would have to jump in the same sector with the most famous athletes in the triple jump. I just needed to gain experience in this form. If I’m not mistaken, I qualified in last place, with the eighth result – it was a great achievement for me. In the main competitions, I just tried to jump, for me it was training. I didn’t count on anything and was pleasantly surprised that I beat many experienced track and field athletes and received a wooden medal (laughs). – You learned about this news quite recently, and now you are at the training camp in Thailand. As far as we know, the issue of your departure has not yet been resolved. Have you decided now and what are your future plans? – Yes, we had difficulties with the trip to Birmingham. Unfortunately, I will not be able to go, as I do not have a British visa. I received an official invitation from the organizers of the competition on the evening of the nineteenth of February.  Moreover, I arrive from the training camp on February 28, and the championship starts the next day and I would not have had time to physically arrive. – In any case, no matter what the reward is and no matter how it gets, it is the result of your hard work and efforts. We congratulate you once again and wish you a productive training camp! – Thank you very much! Inna Semenyak A source: flavko.kz

Danial Akhmetov was elected President of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan

Danial Akhmetov became the new president of the Athletics Federation of Kazakhstan. This is the decision of the extraordinary conference held in Astana today, March 16. The reason for convening the conference was that Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, who headed the Republican Athletics Federation, was elected president of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan in February. The new head of the athletics Federation became Danial Akhmetov. – Conceptually, we will move in several main directions, – said Danial Akhmetov. – We will develop the infrastructure. Let’s start with the regions where athletics has received the greatest development in our country. Another key issue is the preparation of the reserve.   I plan to meet with the heads of the regions, talk with them about the creation of specialized athletics departments, or about the creation of sports schools. Because if there is no mass movement, there will be no children, then it is useless to talk about the future.  As for top-level sports, last year a professional athletics club “Altai Athletics” was established in the East Kazakhstan region, with decent funding and all conditions for the growth of skills. It will be an elite club. Strict criteria should also be applied when forming the national team. And the base for it should be the national team No. 2, which will include young athletes, they are the reserve of our leaders. An equally important issue is the coaching staff. Any talent can disappear with a low qualification of a coach….. I want to thank everyone for electing me as the head of the federation. We will work together to make the country proud of Kazakhstani athletes. Danial Akhmetov is the first head of the East Kazakhstan region. Last year, he was elected to the Republican Athletics Federation and headed the regional federation. The first professional athletics club, Alyay athletics, was established in this region. The former head of the federation, Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, will continue to participate in its work as a member of the executive committee. A good start

The last days of the outgoing March were remembered by our athletes as a bright “first step” in this season. After all, not all athletes could perform in their signature sports during the winter competitions. While some have been performing at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center since the beginning of January, others have meanwhile been getting in shape in the throwing sectors and at training camps in other countries. East Kazakhstan residents brought more than ten awards from warm Shymkent. As expected, the first places in the javelin throw will be taken by the record holders of Kazakhstan Varvara Nazarova and Arthur Gafner. If we compare their performances with last year, the changes are noticeably visible. The best javelin thrower of Kazakhstan in 2017 She showed a result of 47.57 m, leaving behind five competitors, among whom is the same silver medalist of this start, Asia Rabayeva from the Mangystau region, and with her fellow countryman Nadezhda Kirnos – 31.90 m (third place). This year Nazarova added 71 cm – 48.28 m. Gafner, in turn, also remains the leader among javelin throwers, but with a different result. Last year’s best attempt in this competition was 63.54 m, this year the athlete sent a javelin to 53.41. But this result was enough for Arthur to become the first. By the way, another athlete from East Kazakhstan Region, Erbol Kalenov, did not go far – third place – 51.78 m. Another stable leader in this annual competition is Anastasia Kaloshina in the hammer throw. Her results are getting higher every year, which confirms her intense training and desire to win. Last year, our thrower had more competition – six people entered the sector with her. Kaloshina became the best with a result of 49.18 m, in second place was Yulia Popkova from North Kazakhstan region, whom Anastasia beat by nine meters. This year, only Kaloshina and Svetlana Ionova from the Karaganda region competed in their age group, the difference in the results was 20.9 m (Kaloshina – 53.14 m; Ionova – 32.24 m). Dmitry Lukichev brought two medals in the discus throw and hammer throw to East Kazakhstan Region at once. In fact, this discipline is “golden” for our athletes, because in addition to Lukichev in this form, in the older age group, three athletes from East Kazakhstan Region – Vladimir Torlopov, Oleg Lyubimov and Alexey Vladimirov – took the entire podium at once in exactly this order. Dmitry finished the hammer throw competition with a score of 39.77 m (first place) – this is 18 cm more than last year. But in the discus throw, the athlete’s result showed weaker than in 2017 (it was 39.94 m; it became 39.24 m), but the paradox is that this time he was able to bring a silver medal. Also, in the discus throw among girls for East Kazakhstan, Erica Kem won the gold medal. As last year, this athlete managed to take a leading position and improve the result (it was 33.89 m: it became 35.86 m). Among women from the East Kazakhstan region, the sector has entered Tatiana Romanova. She had to compete with the strongest Diana Nusupbekova and Ekaterina Nesterova. The result of our athlete – 39.82 m – is the third place. This year, our team has two prizes in the half marathon. The first is from one of the fastest Kazakhstani long-distance runners Andrey Leimenov – 1:07.52, and Amir Baytukanov won the bronze medal – 1:08.51. As for last year’s start, then Leimenov missed the competition while preparing for the half marathon in Prague. Baitukanov has been in third place for the second year. Only the result changes – it has been improved. Last year, the distance was covered in 1:10:40.5.
