Brilliant performances

From October 7 to 8, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan hosted the International Athletics Competitions among boys and girls born in 2002-2004 for the prizes of the Olympic champion-1988 in the 4-400m relay Maria Pinigina.

Teams from five countries came to Bishkek to participate in these competitions: Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The most productive athletes from all over the republic went to represent the Kazakh team at these starts.

On the first day of the competition, the 100 m, 100 m hurdles, 400 m, 1500 m, long jump, javelin throw and 4 100 m relay races for boys and girls were held. On this day, the guys from the East Kazakhstan region replenished the piggy bank of the national team of Kazakhstan with as many as 8 medals! In addition, they managed to set a new competition record twice!

The 100 m run turned out to be very successful for our girls, because two athletes from East Kazakhstan Region Valeria Bromat from Ust-Kamenogorsk and Ridder runner Olga Pulyaeva took the podium at once, another one of our countrymen Sofia Bezverkhova, who took fourth place, was just a little short.

Elizaveta Buluchevskaya, one of the most talented hurdlers in Kazakhstan, can also boast of another won medal. Lisa lost to Kazakhstan’s Sabira Musina from Aktau and Kyrgyz athlete Karina Danilina with a score of 16.2 seconds. I would like to note that Musin and Danilin divided the “golden” step of the pedestal in half.

We cannot fail to mention two more outstanding performances among the girls. Arina Gladysheva finished second in the 1500 m with a time of 4:53.8, and Polina Pokladova won the bronze medal in the long jump. Well, the only guy who brought the first “gold” in a “solo” performance was Efim Tarasov from Ust-Talovka, who, despite the fact that he finished in the 400 m race with a decent margin of more than 2 seconds – 51.0 seconds, so his result also turned out to be a new competition record! But the “bronze” award in the same discipline was brought by Amir Aimkanov from Ust-Kamenogorsk – 54.6 s.

Separately, I would like to evaluate the performance of the relay teams of 4 to 100 m – both women’s and men’s. Elina Ustinovich, Valeria Bromat, Elizaveta Buluchevskaya and Yana Zmanovskaya – this quartet brought Kazakhstan a second gold medal on the first day of the competition, but the highlight was that in this “fight” the girls repeated Tarasov’s triumph and set another new competition record. The youth team in this relay was represented by Damir Akimkanov, Zhandos Zhakypov, Andrey Ignatikov and Efim Tarasov, and they did it very well, placing second in the final protocol of the competition.

The second day gave us equally successful performances. Some of them managed to win the second and even the third award for such a seemingly short period of time. This day can rightfully be called “silver”, because we managed to replenish the piggy bank of our country with five silver medals at once. The “bonus” was brought by Ustkamenogorsk athlete Elina Ustinovich, who became the owner of the “gold” in the high jump – 160 cm, followed by Polina Pokladova (155 cm). Among the guys, the high jump was successfully completed for our athlete, so Bota Kumarov became the vice-champion of the competition – 165 cm.

The final 200 m races turned out to be more than colorful. Two pupils of Ustkamenogorsk sports school became the second at once. Amir Aimkanov, with a score of 23.5 seconds, lost only 0.2 seconds to an opponent from Uzbekistan, and Valeria Bromat finished after Kyrgyz runner Eva Kadyrova, with a score of 25.9 seconds.

Elizaveta Buluchevskaya won her third medal at these starts in the 300 m hurdles. Lisa was in second place – 47.6 c in the final protocol, after Karina Danilina, an athlete from Bishkek.

With such a “brilliant harvest” of awards, our guys have completed the competitions in Kyrgyzstan, and now they can be calm, because so far the season is considered closed for these athletes!
