Results of the second day of the Kazakhstan Indoor Championship among Youth (born in 1996–1997) and Senior Boys (born in 2000–2001)

The second competition day of the Kazakhstan Championship began with race walking among youth athletes.
Almaty athletes took part in the 5000 m race walk event.

Women (2 participants):

On the second day, the heptathlon of the Kazakhstan Championship among boys born in 2000–2001 came to an end, with athletes from Karaganda Region taking the top three places.
The heptathlon program included: 60 m sprint, long jump, shot put, high jump, 60 m hurdles, pole vault, and 1000 m run.

Boys (7 participants):

  1. Sergey Dementyev (Karaganda Region) – 4101 points

  2. Evgeniy Buss (Karaganda Region) – 3613 points

  3. Kirill Bereza (Karaganda Region) – 3237 points

An athlete from Ust-Kamenogorsk took second place at the Kazakhstan Youth Championship in the heptathlon.
He achieved the best results in three of the seven disciplines: long jump (5.66 m), shot put (11.22 m), and pole vault (4.20 m).
In the overall standings, Kalenov was only 44 points behind Almaty’s athlete Evgeniy Marchenko.

Elizaveta Matveeva is once again among the leaders.
For the Ust-Kamenogorsk athlete, the high jump competition ended successfully.
Matveeva won the bronze medal in the high jump, though she had to share her third place with Almaty’s athlete Adel Bekbauova, who achieved exactly the same result.

Girls (born in 2000–2001, 11 participants):

  1. Ulyana Filina (Karaganda Region) – 165 cm

  2. Kristina Ovchinnikova (Almaty) – 165 cm

  3. Adel Bekbauova (Almaty) – 160 cm

  4. Elizaveta Matveeva (East Kazakhstan Region) – 160 cm

Nadezhda Dubovitskaya once again became the high jump champion.
From championship to championship, the athlete from Semey continues to lead the national ranking in the women’s high jump.
Just recently, on January 27–29, at the O. Rypakova Indoor Arena, the Kazakhstan Junior Athletics Championship took place, where Dubovitskaya won the gold medal in the high jump with a result of 180 cm. And in the next national championship among youth, which concluded only yesterday, Nadezhda once again claimed the title of champion, clearing a height 10 cm lower than her previous result.

High jump:

  1. Nadezhda Dubovitskaya (East Kazakhstan Region) – 170 cm

The 800-meter race turned out to be one of the most successful events for athletes representing East Kazakhstan.
The athlete from Semey, Imanmadi Kusmanov, finished first in the 800-meter race at the Kazakhstan Youth Championship. It is worth noting that this is the second consecutive year that Kusmanov has taken first place in this distance. Moreover, another athlete from East Kazakhstan — Evgeny Arkhipov — managed to secure second place, finishing just behind Kusmanov, with less than a two-second difference between their results.

The athlete from East Kazakhstan won the bronze medal in the 200-meter race.
On the second day of competition, Ust-Kamenogorsk native Alexandra Egorina advanced to the final after the preliminary heats in the 200-meter event. In the final race, she finished third, behind two athletes from the Karaganda Region.
