On March 1-3, Tashkent hosted the International competitions of the teams of the Central Asian countries among juniors, in which two athletes of East Kazakhstan Region took part.
For our athletes, this tournament ended successfully. Ust-Kamenogorsk athlete Oryngul Zkrienova, who competed in the 60 m hurdles, became the champion of these competitions. There were seven participants in this race, and as the athlete herself says, she did not start very well. But, nevertheless, a miracle happened, and Oryngul completed these competitions with an indicator of 9.07 s. Having become the first, Zkrienova is still dissatisfied with the result, saying that it could have been better.
Nadezhda Dubovitskaya, an athlete from Semey, became another representative of East Kazakhstan Region. Nadezhda competed in the high jump, and, unfortunately, the jumper failed to confirm her last year’s Asian champion title, this time the athlete became the vice-champion with a score of 175 cm.
Now the girls have a break, and they went to recovery camps, because soon they will take part in the championship of Kazakhstan, and then Asia.
