On August 13, 2014, KSU “youth athletics School of East Kazakhstan region” of the Department of Physical Culture and sports of the East Kazakhstan region held an action “open day” dedicated to the day of sports and the Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of this event was to promote athletics in Ust-Kamenogorsk, involve children and adolescents in athletics sections, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
All 42 secondary schools of the city, headed by physical education teachers, were invited.
The competition program included the following disciplines: running 60 m, 200 m and relay 4*100 m.
The competition was also attended by coaches of the KSU “youth athletics School of East Kazakhstan region” of the Department of Physical Culture and sports of the East Kazakhstan region, who told students about the benefits of playing sports and conducted an introductory tour of the Athletics Center “Olga Rypakova”.
The children were very interested and expressed a desire to enroll in the athletics section.
