Three girls-three medals

At the Asian Games held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, Kazakhstan took 9th place in the medal standings. The national athletics team brought seven medals to the total piggy bank, three of which were won by representatives of the East Kazakhstan region.

Elina Mikhina, a runner from Ridder, showed a time of 52.63 s in the 400 m final, which allowed her to take third place. The first place belongs to the representative of Bahrain, the athlete from India has the “silver”.

1st place – Salva Nasser (Bahrain) 50.09 p.

2nd place – Hima Das (India) 50.79 p.

3rd place – Elina Mikhina (Kazakhstan) 52.63 p.

A series of successful performances for our girls began with Elina.

 

On August 29, Nadezhda Dubovitskaya, a native of Semey, rose to the third step of the podium. In the high jump sector, our jumper conquered the height of 1.70 m on the first attempt and 1.75 and 1.80 m on the second. Having twice failed to cope with the high jump of 1.84 m, Nadezhda in the third attempt still conquered the bar and deservedly won the “bronze”.

2. Nadia Dusanova (Uzbekistan) – 1.94 m

The most decorated athlete of Kazakhstan, three-time champion of the Asian Games Olga Rypakova justified her hopes and again won the gold medal in the triple jump.

She took the lead on her first attempt with a 14-meter jump. Later, having improved their result by 26 centimeters, no one was able to get close to her.

The second place was taken by the representative of Thailand, Parinia Chumaimaroeng, 13.93 m., Vietnamese Myung Vu Thi closed the top three with a score of 13.93 m., losing only in the number of attempts to the second place.

Olga Rypakova’s gold medal was the first and only one in athletics for the entire national team.
