The Altai Half Marathon, which has already become a traditional event, took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk
The organizers from Ust-Kamenogorsk have been unlucky with the weather for the second year in a row. Moreover, you can’t blame the organizers for their ability to step on the same rake – compared to last year, the start date of the half marathon was not just postponed, it was even set for another time of the year. But the rain prevented the full house from being assembled again. But if at the beginning of last summer the rain was quite tolerable, now the participants really had to endure the icy water, which all the time tried to sink down their necks. In general, it turned out like at the World Cup in Doha. Just the opposite. Accordingly, the participants were among those who could be enrolled either in the ranks of either athletics superfanates or walruses. Or even both. Denis Rypakov, the head of the regional department of physical culture and sports, who ran a distance of 3 km with everyone, also referred to himself as such. However, for some reason his result was not in the final protocol. It’s a pity. It would be interesting to know what form the head of the regional sports is in now. – This is the weather that greets us, – Denis Sergeevich began his welcome address before the start of the race. – It’s nice to see your smiles that keep us warm. Neither rain nor frost will spoil our mood today! Have a great mood for everyone, excellent results! As they say, “Alga Kazakhstan”! In total, according to the chief judge of the competition, Alexander Kruglikov, about 200 athletes from among amateurs and professionals decided to participate in the competition. To conquer the Ust-Kamenogorsk embankment, athletes came not only from Ridder and Semey, but also from other regions: Pavlodar was represented by athletes from Pavlodar and Aksu, their athletes from among the run in the rain were found in the capital of our country Nur Sultan, and Almaty sent heavy artillery in the form of a supertitled stayer Mikhail Krasilov. The youngest participants started first. The children’s race was attended by athletes whose age has not yet reached 18 years. At a distance of 1 km, there was no equal to the athlete “Altai Athletics-2” Arina Gladysheva from Ridder, who showed such a serious result that even if she had participated among the guys, she would have become the third! She lost a little more than a second to Yakov Lavrentiev, and even a few hundredths of a second to Meirlan nurlybekov. At the same time, do not forget that Arina is still only 13 years old! Tamara Klimantseva from Ust-Kamenogorsk and Kuandyk Orazgazy from Semey took the lead in the 3 km distance. The novelty of this competition was the Nordic walking competition. Moreover, it was not just a demonstrative “visit”. The distance of the walkers was more than decent – 6 km. So few reached the finish line. Nina Chakileva became the most enduring. The main action was the main distance of the day – 21 km. All participants were divided by age categories, so 10 sets of awards were played at once. Moreover, the winners and prize-winners received not only commemorative medals, but also cash prizes. In the absence of the triumphant winner of last year’s Altai Half Marathon, Andrey Leimenov from Ridder, who participated in the Kazakh cross-country championship in Taraz at the same time and won a bronze medal, it was clear that the throne was vacant. As a result, it was taken by the main favorite of the tournament Mikhail Krasilov from Almaty. THE DISTANCE IS 1 KM Girls: 1. Arina GLADYSHEVA (Ridder, Altai Athletics-2) – 3:22.90 2.
