The pupil of athletics Semey won the “silver” of the international tournament
Our compatriots received many awards from the capital of the adjacent state, many of which were high Awards. But Amal Syzdykov was able to win one silver medal for his native Semipalatinsk. A pupil of the East Kazakhstan athletics school has been moving to Almaty for some time and playing for the national team of this city, but his East Kazakhstan roots make us follow the career of this master of short-distance running. In Bishkek, Syzdykov, together with representatives of other regions of Kazakhstan Artem Savelyev, Eran Ibraimov and Elnor Mukhitdinov, performed as part of the 4-100 m Kazakhstan relay. Our relay race ran through the stadium with a result of 41.58 s. OUR HELP Tatyana Kolpakova-Olympic champion of Moscow – 1980 long jump. In this tournament, he was able to show the result of 7.06 m, at that time it was an Olympic record! Moreover, he was able to show such a crazy leap in the very last attempt, before which he was only the fourth! The tournament dedicated to the prizes of the great athlete was held for the 20th time this year. Four athletes of East Kazakhstan Region joined the national team of the RK
Following the results of the Kazakhstan Athletics Championship, which ended on June 14, the coaching staff of our country’s national team determined the composition of the delegation to the Asian Championship, which will be held from July 6 to 9 in Bhubaneshwar, India. Javelins Artur Gafner and Varvara Nazarova, jumpers Nadezhda Dubovitskaya from Semey and Elina Mikhina from Ridder (pictured) will perform at the Asian Championship in East Kazakhstan region at a distance of 400 m. Six athletes of East Kazakhstan Region became champions of Kazakhstan
The very first medal of our national team was brought by the reinforced concrete favorite in the javelin throw, Arthur Gafner from the village of Sugatovka in the East Kazakhstan region. His gold medal was, as they say, counted, because everyone has already got used to the fact that if Gafner goes to the start, then it is no longer necessary to enter the sector with hopes of “gold”. In Almaty, Arthur showed an average result for himself – 65.08 m. But it was enough to bypass the nearest pursuer Evgeny Anokhin from the North Kazakhstan region by almost nine meters! Javelin throwing became a discipline in which the dominance of East Kazakhstan Region athletes was simply undeniable. Varvara Nazarova, the national record holder from Ust–Kamenogorsk, won the women’s championship in this discipline. The beautiful athlete, who will turn 20 years old only in July, sent a projectile to 50.58 m. However, unlike Gafner, her advantage over the second place was not so devastating – Asiya Rabayeva from Mangystau region comes on Varvara’s “heels” with a gap of only three meters. The only discipline in which East Kazakhstan Region athletes were able to take the entire podium was the men’s hammer throw. Vladimir Torlopov, of course, is a great hero, because he became the champion, but the above fact became a much bigger event. Oleg Lyubimov became the second, and Alexey Vladimirov became the third. At the same time, it would be unreasonable to think that only three athletes took part in the championship. By world standards, of course, the results of our heroes are not outstanding, but the fact is that in Kazakhstan, there are simply no hammers stronger than ours in East Kazakhstan region. Now about the heroes from Semey. In total, the athletes of this city have won seven awards. The only “gold” was taken to her hometown by high jumper Regina Kaisarova. Another jumper from Semey, Nadezhda Dubovitskaya, showed the same result with Kaisarova – 1.8 m each. But it took less attempts for Regina to overcome this height, and she became a champion. Another discipline in which the family managed to win several awards at once is the men’s 800 m final race. Imanmadi Kusmanov and Evgeny Arkhipov finished second and third respectively. Together with Kusmanov and Dubovitskaya, Sergey Ershov pleased his countrymen with the vice-championship title, who became the second in the 1500 m distance. Well, a young promising jumper Ivan Solovyov managed to win two bronze medals in the long jump and triple jump. Ustkamenogorets all together added six medals to the piggy bank of medals. We have already reported about the champions Nazarova and Torlopov. But another representative of the throwing disciplines is more than worthy of attention, because to become the second in the shot put after one hundred percent favorite Ivan Ivanov is by no means shameful. Such a hero was Damir Kasainov, who won a silver medal for East Kazakhstan Region. Magzhan Zhakypbekov’s performance in the decathlon brought another bronze medal to the administrative center of our region. Magzhan scored 5806 points, showing good competitiveness in the fight against the favorites from Almaty Marchenkov and Kasyanov. Well, how can we not say about the magnificent Ridder stayers Irina Smolnikova and Andrei Leimenov. They won three medals between them. Both became champions. So Smolnikova won the 5 km race and became the second at a distance of 10 km. Leimenov could have easily added some other award to his 10,000 m title at a distance twice as short, but apparently he couldn’t cope with the heat and left the race. Meanwhile, East Kazakhstan Region also has an unrealized potential. Olga Rypakova did not participate in the championship, Elina Mikhina from Ridder and Evgeny Chettykbayev from Ust-Kamenogorsk did not perform so effectively due to injuries or illnesses. The first one qualified for the final of the 400 m race, but did not make it to the final, and the second one in the triple jump sector made only one attempt, in which he made a spade, and did not participate in the competition anymore. But even without this, the medal harvest should be recognized as successful. RUNNING 100 M Men (27 participants): 1. Vitaly Zems (Karaganda region) – 10.65 2. Alexander Kasper (Astana) – 10.68 3.
