Last chance for “peace”!

The long-awaited Asian Athletics Championships will be held in Bhubaneswar from the sixth to the ninth of July. About 800 athletes from 45 countries came to hot India to face off. Our athletes have been preparing for these starts for a very long time and hard, and tomorrow they will be able to show their skills on Indian soil. Among the eighteen athletes representing the Republic of Kazakhstan, there is a female trio from East Kazakhstan: the country’s best javelin thrower Varvara Nazarova, high jumper Nadezhda Dubovitskaya, as well as one of the fastest track and field athletes of the republic Elina Mikhina, who will compete in the 400 m. But among the guys, only one athlete from East Kazakhstan region, the record holder of Kazakhstan in javelin throw, Arthur Gafner, was selected for an exotic country. The most interesting thing is that East Kazakhstan athletes will represent all of the above types alone, which makes their competitions much more responsible! Varvara Nazarova will perform in the javelin throw on the first day of the competition. Together with our athlete, 12 more girls from China, Iran, Japan, Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand and India will perform. This time, the host country has an advantage over the guests, India is allowed to field three athletes in each discipline, instead of the usual two. And this probably adds to the chances of winning to some extent. On the same day, 400 m running competitions will be held, in which Ridder runner Alina Mikhina performs. Eighteen participants will take part, including our athlete. Vietnam, Malaysia, Maldives and Tajikistan will be added to the list of countries listed in the paragraph above. It is likely that Elina will also compete in the 4-400m relay together with Merjen Ishanguliyeva, Tatyana Neroznak and Adelina Akhmetova. The very next day, Nadezhda Dubovitskaya, an athlete from Semey, will compete for the title of the best high jumper, and along with her, twelve more high-rise athletes appear on the list of participants. As the athlete herself says, she knows all the competitors by sight, but Nadezhda is still not quite comfortable performing, because this is her first time at a competition of this level. – Nadia, do you think you will have to put a lot of effort into this performance to become the best? – I think that’s enough! To be honest, I can’t even imagine how it will be, because this is the first time I will compete at the Senior Asia! – Are you very worried? – A little bit (smiles). I recently injured my back. – Did this happen in training? – Yes, I practiced with a barbell. – How do you feel internally? Are you more worried about the injury or is it more mentally difficult? – I’m afraid that the pain will not allow you to jump fully! But we still hope that Nadia will feel better and show a good result. And finally, the only guy from East Kazakhstan Region, Arthur Gafner, will perform on the final day of the javelin throw competition. More than twenty guys from different countries will compete with our athlete, in addition to the participating countries that were announced above, athletes from countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, Qatar and Saudi Arabia will compete in the list of javelin throwers. According to the results of this championship, it will be known who will win a ticket to the World Championship in London, which will be held from August 4 to 13! Inna Semenyak
Dubovitskaya and Kaisarova were among the winners of the international athletics tournament

Getting into the number of prize-winners was quite predictable even before the start of the women’s high jump competition, because out of five participants in this type of program, three girls represented East Kazakhstan Region at once. And not just our region, but the city of Semey, because Regina Kaisarova, Alexandra Krivitskaya, and Nadezhda Dubovitskaya are students of athletics in this city. A real struggle could have unfolded and unfolded between three athletes: the champions of Kazakhstan Kaysarova and Dubovitskaya, as well as a guest from Uzbekistan Safina Sadullayeva. Krivitskaya is still recovering after a long pause in her career, and our girls have proven their superiority over another jumper from Kazakhstan, Alexandra Gulyukina, a long time ago. Kaisarova, whose preparations for the summer season were spoiled, again failed to overcome the 1.8 m mark and dropped out of the fight, securing third place. Dubovitskaya and Sadullayeva continued to fight among themselves. Interestingly, the duelists are almost exactly the same age. Both were born in 1998, and both were born in March. Safina is only 8 days older than our Hope. But the superiority of the Uzbek athlete was still felt on this day. Dubovitskaya had problems even overcoming the 175 cm mark, coping with it only on the third attempt. With the last jump, she overcame 180 cm, but she could not jump higher. Sadullayeva, on the other hand, took all heights up to 185 centimeters on the first attempt, and only managed to overcome the above-mentioned bar only from the third jump. There was an attempt to storm 189 cm, but it ended unsuccessfully. As a result, two of our three jumpers managed to be on the podium, and Alexandra Krivitskaya still has a lot ahead of her. International Olympic Day
The pupil of athletics Semey won the “silver” of the international tournament

Our compatriots received many awards from the capital of the adjacent state, many of which were high Awards. But Amal Syzdykov was able to win one silver medal for his native Semipalatinsk. A pupil of the East Kazakhstan athletics school has been moving to Almaty for some time and playing for the national team of this city, but his East Kazakhstan roots make us follow the career of this master of short-distance running. In Bishkek, Syzdykov, together with representatives of other regions of Kazakhstan Artem Savelyev, Eran Ibraimov and Elnor Mukhitdinov, performed as part of the 4-100 m Kazakhstan relay. Our relay race ran through the stadium with a result of 41.58 s. OUR HELP Tatyana Kolpakova-Olympic champion of Moscow – 1980 long jump. In this tournament, he was able to show the result of 7.06 m, at that time it was an Olympic record! Moreover, he was able to show such a crazy leap in the very last attempt, before which he was only the fourth! The tournament dedicated to the prizes of the great athlete was held for the 20th time this year. Four athletes of East Kazakhstan Region joined the national team of the RK

Following the results of the Kazakhstan Athletics Championship, which ended on June 14, the coaching staff of our country’s national team determined the composition of the delegation to the Asian Championship, which will be held from July 6 to 9 in Bhubaneshwar, India. Javelins Artur Gafner and Varvara Nazarova, jumpers Nadezhda Dubovitskaya from Semey and Elina Mikhina from Ridder (pictured) will perform at the Asian Championship in East Kazakhstan region at a distance of 400 m. Six athletes of East Kazakhstan Region became champions of Kazakhstan

The very first medal of our national team was brought by the reinforced concrete favorite in the javelin throw, Arthur Gafner from the village of Sugatovka in the East Kazakhstan region. His gold medal was, as they say, counted, because everyone has already got used to the fact that if Gafner goes to the start, then it is no longer necessary to enter the sector with hopes of “gold”. In Almaty, Arthur showed an average result for himself – 65.08 m. But it was enough to bypass the nearest pursuer Evgeny Anokhin from the North Kazakhstan region by almost nine meters! Javelin throwing became a discipline in which the dominance of East Kazakhstan Region athletes was simply undeniable. Varvara Nazarova, the national record holder from Ust–Kamenogorsk, won the women’s championship in this discipline. The beautiful athlete, who will turn 20 years old only in July, sent a projectile to 50.58 m. However, unlike Gafner, her advantage over the second place was not so devastating – Asiya Rabayeva from Mangystau region comes on Varvara’s “heels” with a gap of only three meters. The only discipline in which East Kazakhstan Region athletes were able to take the entire podium was the men’s hammer throw. Vladimir Torlopov, of course, is a great hero, because he became the champion, but the above fact became a much bigger event. Oleg Lyubimov became the second, and Alexey Vladimirov became the third. At the same time, it would be unreasonable to think that only three athletes took part in the championship. By world standards, of course, the results of our heroes are not outstanding, but the fact is that in Kazakhstan, there are simply no hammers stronger than ours in East Kazakhstan region. Now about the heroes from Semey. In total, the athletes of this city have won seven awards. The only “gold” was taken to her hometown by high jumper Regina Kaisarova. Another jumper from Semey, Nadezhda Dubovitskaya, showed the same result with Kaisarova – 1.8 m each. But it took less attempts for Regina to overcome this height, and she became a champion. Another discipline in which the family managed to win several awards at once is the men’s 800 m final race. Imanmadi Kusmanov and Evgeny Arkhipov finished second and third respectively. Together with Kusmanov and Dubovitskaya, Sergey Ershov pleased his countrymen with the vice-championship title, who became the second in the 1500 m distance. Well, a young promising jumper Ivan Solovyov managed to win two bronze medals in the long jump and triple jump. Ustkamenogorets all together added six medals to the piggy bank of medals. We have already reported about the champions Nazarova and Torlopov. But another representative of the throwing disciplines is more than worthy of attention, because to become the second in the shot put after one hundred percent favorite Ivan Ivanov is by no means shameful. Such a hero was Damir Kasainov, who won a silver medal for East Kazakhstan Region. Magzhan Zhakypbekov’s performance in the decathlon brought another bronze medal to the administrative center of our region. Magzhan scored 5806 points, showing good competitiveness in the fight against the favorites from Almaty Marchenkov and Kasyanov. Well, how can we not say about the magnificent Ridder stayers Irina Smolnikova and Andrei Leimenov. They won three medals between them. Both became champions. So Smolnikova won the 5 km race and became the second at a distance of 10 km. Leimenov could have easily added some other award to his 10,000 m title at a distance twice as short, but apparently he couldn’t cope with the heat and left the race. Meanwhile, East Kazakhstan Region also has an unrealized potential. Olga Rypakova did not participate in the championship, Elina Mikhina from Ridder and Evgeny Chettykbayev from Ust-Kamenogorsk did not perform so effectively due to injuries or illnesses. The first one qualified for the final of the 400 m race, but did not make it to the final, and the second one in the triple jump sector made only one attempt, in which he made a spade, and did not participate in the competition anymore. But even without this, the medal harvest should be recognized as successful. RUNNING 100 M Men (27 participants): 1. Vitaly Zems (Karaganda region) – 10.65 2. Alexander Kasper (Astana) – 10.68 3. Evgeny Marchenkov and Nadezhda Kirnos are the best in the all–around

The competitions in men’s 10-wrestle and women’s 7-wrestle at the Kazakhstan Championship, which ended on June 14 in Almaty, turned out to be quite representative compared to the National Cup held in mid-May. At the cup tournament, only four participants (one man and three women) came to the start, and now there were ten people on the application lists at once. Moreover, for representatives of the stronger sex, all athletes, without exception, overcame the multi-species distance to the end, while for women, two athletes still came off ahead of time for medical reasons. The dispute over the final victory in the men’s competition broke out between Almaty residents – 22-year-old Evgeny Marchenkov and 24-year-old Alexander Kasyanov (participant of the Kazakhstan Cup). Kasyanov also took the lead after the first five types, ahead of his main competitor by more than 200 points. But on the second day, Marchenkov performed much better in discus, javelin and pole vault. This allowed him to come out on top and maintain his advantage after the final discipline – running 1,500 meters. For women, as in cup competitions, the ball was ruled by the strongest heptathlete of the country today – 23-year-old Nadezhda Kirnos from the Mangystau region. She achieved a good gap from her rivals already in the first form – the 100-meter hurdles, and by the end of the tournament she had significantly increased it. That’s just his final result (5,190 points) Nadezhda was hardly satisfied. A month ago, she managed to score 5,376 points. June 12-13. The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The top three athletes were athletes from Almaty (28,678 points), Karaganda (27,836) and Pavlodar (27,244) regions. A source: kazathletics.kz Photo by Eduard Gavrish
Greetings from Kenya!

One of the highlights of the final day of the Championship of Kazakhstan, held at the Central Stadium of Almaty from June 12 to 14, was the performance of young Kenyan stayers – 23-year-old Caroline Chepkoech Kipkirui and 17-year-old Chadrak Kimutai Koech at a distance of 5,000 meters. Having received an invitation to take part in the traditional memorial of Gusman Kosanov (June 24-25), representatives of the country that gave the world many excellent masters of long-distance running arrived in Kazakhstan and, in preparation for the upcoming competitions, tested their strength at the open championship of our republic. The test turned out to be very successful – in both the women’s and men’s races, Kenyan athletes clearly demonstrated their styling talents. Kipkirui and Koech took the lead immediately after the start, maintained a high pace throughout the race and achieved confident victories. As for our athletes, Irina Smolnikova from East Kazakhstan achieved success among women in the absence of Gulzhanat Zhanatbek, who became the best in the 10,000 meters on the opening day of the championship. And for men, the 2017 national champion at a similar distance, Andrei Leimenov, also representing East Kazakhstan Region, came down after two laps, and Mikhail Krasilov (Zhambyl region) took the first place without much struggle. At the end of the races, Kipkirui and Koech kept a little stiff, but smiled warmly: – Everything turned out well at the distance, – the athletes noted with one voice. – It was not so hot, and there was no discomfort. We managed to keep our pace and finish well. In general, we like Kazakhstan. We train, we don’t feel any special problems, the people are all friendly. We will prepare for the next competitions! The double success of Maria Ovchinnikova

A 17-year-old representative of the Karaganda region, following the long jump, won the triple jump at the national championship. On June 13, the winners in the men’s and women’s triple jump were determined at the Kazakhstan Athletics Championships in Almaty. For women, she became the champion Maria Ovchinnikova, who won the long jump the day before. In her best attempt, Ovchinnikova flew to the mark of 13.25 meters and became the first. Anna Gorodkova from the South Kazakhstan region lost only five centimeters to Ovchinnikova. Marina Huseynova from Almaty got the third result — 12.08 meters. – In the long jump, my feelings were simply cosmic, I caught the courage and jumped for pleasure. I didn’t think about my rivals, maybe because it’s not my main look, I didn’t think about anything, I just did my job. On the triple jump, I was a little clamped down, my emotions remained at length, so they were a little short on the triple jump. In principle, I am happy with the result in length, I jumped almost according to a personal record, one centimeter was not enough. I would like a slightly better result in the triple, we will try our best. I hope I will achieve a good result at the Kosanov Memorial,” Maria Ovchinnikova said after the award ceremony. The men’s triple jump champion was Roman Valiev with a score of 16.08 meters. Valiev was 17 centimeters ahead of Evgeny Ektov. The third result was achieved by Ivan Solovyov from the East Kazakhstan region. In parallel with the triple jump, high jumpers competed in the neighboring sector. I jumped higher than everyone else Roman Loshkarev from Almaty is 2.16 meters. Vasily Shchastyy from Akmola region won the silver medal – 2.08 meters, and Vyacheslav Gorchakov from South Kazakhstan region stopped at exactly 2 meters. Kazakhstan Athletics Championship. Endurance test. Dmitry Ivanchukov is the national champion in steeplechase

On June 13, four sets of awards in the 800-meter and 3-kilometer steeplechase were awarded at the Kazakhstan Championship in Almaty. In the men’s 800 meters, the winner and the prize-winners showed quite solid results. Sergey Zaikov turned out to be a little faster than Imanmadi Kusmanov and Evgeny Arkhipov and became the champion. The women won Tatiana Neroznak, who overtook Victoria Ryzhikova and Evgenia Fandyushina. The real test of strength for the participants was the 3000-meter steeplechase, or as it is also called steeplechase. In addition to the usual barriers, athletes overcome pits with water. The most enduring among men in this discipline turned out to be Dmitry Ivanchukov from Zhambyl region, who became the champion of Kazakhstan. Islam Amangos from Almaty was ten seconds behind him, and the lag of the third prize-winner Rakhymzhan Kelmanov was almost half a minute. For women, three participants came to the start of this discipline, and all of them managed to finish. I crossed the finish line first Svetlana Saunina, followed by Elizaveta Astafieva and Lyudmila Monina. Kazakhstan Athletics Championship. Almaty, “Central”. June 13th. Running for 800 meters. Men.
