Alone among his own
The RK Cup competition was held in three stages, which made it the most unpredictable and exciting. The list of participants in the final test was not complete without athletes from East Kazakhstan region, who took prizes in the final protocols. After the winter season, one of the fastest athletes in the country Andrei Sokolov, who previously played for Almaty, now defends the honor of East Kazakhstan. Everyone has long been accustomed to the fact that there are “kings” at the 400 m distance – members of the Altay Athletics professional club Mikhail Litvin and Elina Mikhina. As expected, Litvin took his native first place with a score of 46.5 seconds, overtaking our athlete by a little more than 1 second (47.8 seconds), leaving him in third place. A bronze medal in the national team’s piggy bank from Sokolov! Elina generally made a revolution in the minds of many athletics fans, forcing them to think that perhaps she would seriously engage in a change of discipline and start competing at a distance of half as much. As it turned out, these are just rumors. But nevertheless, as they say: “A talented person is talented in everything or in all kinds of athletics.” In the 200 m, the Ridder runner became the best with a score of 23.4 s. But apparently there were no plans to leave only one trace in shorter distances, so the athlete decided to make a double shot and performed at the 100-meter, where she did it brilliantly. Two “gold” from Mikhina – is it not a joy? As soon as Elina changed the look in which she will perform, she was replaced by the younger generation of East Kazakhstan Region Ekaterina Efremova, who confidently follows in the footsteps of her countryman. In the 400 m, Efremova took first place with a score of 56.8 seconds, followed by Adelina Akhmetova from Karaganda and Umida Sabyrova from Almaty. The harvest of awards at the third stage of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan was full for the girls, as they won two more medals, gold and silver for their team in the high jump Nadezhda Dubovitskaya and Alexandra Krivitskaya. Both girls are from Semey, and both girls are the main competitors for each other. Those who carefully watched their performances from the stands, or simply watched the results, will not be deceived. Most often, Nadezhda was lucky, and this time is no exception. 185 cm vs. 175 cm. Alone, as at the 2nd stage, the record holder of Kazakhstan in javelin throwing Varvara Nazarova performed. Three girls-three medals
At the Asian Games held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, Kazakhstan took 9th place in the medal standings. The national athletics team brought seven medals to the total piggy bank, three of which were won by representatives of the East Kazakhstan region. Elina Mikhina, a runner from Ridder, showed a time of 52.63 s in the 400 m final, which allowed her to take third place. Nadezhda Dubovitskaya (Kazakhstan) – 1.84 m The most decorated athlete of Kazakhstan, three-time champion of the Asian Games Olga Rypakova justified her hopes and again won the gold medal in the triple jump. She took the lead on her first attempt with a 14-meter jump. Later, having improved their result by 26 centimeters, no one was able to get close to her. The second place was taken by the representative of Thailand, Parinia Chumaimaroeng, 13.93 m., Vietnamese Myung Vu Thi closed the top three with a score of 13.93 m., losing only in the number of attempts to the second place. Children’s athletics competitions “ALTAY KIDS CUP”
After holding three test athletics competitions in the summer of this year, the main athletics competitions “Altay Kids Cup”, consisting of 3 stages, were launched in the territory of the East Kazakhstan region. The Swiss UBS KIDS CUP, the most popular and massive model of children’s sports competitions in Europe, is taken as a basis. The competition program includes the 3 most accessible types of athletics for children: running 60 meters; The ball throw is 150 grams; long jump with a running start with an extended repulsion zone of 60 cm. Competitions are held in 3 age categories: boys and girls – 2003-2004, 2005-2006, 2007-2008. To cover the entire territory of the East Kazakhstan region, the ALTAY KIDS CUP competition program is divided into 3 stages. The third stage is the final one, which will be held on November 4-5 this year in Oskemen, in which 342 athletes will take part, competing for the teams of their districts and cities of the Region. The winners and prize-winners of the final competitions will receive valuable prizes from the Altay Athletics professional club: smartphones for 1st place, wireless music speakers for 2nd place, and fitness watches for 3rd place. These competitions, which are held for the first time according to this model and require a certain test period, were initiated by the President of the Athletics Federation, D.K. Akhmetov, in order to increase the number of children involved in athletics and select the most talented among them. Tarasov is the champion
On December 15, Ust-Kamenogorsk hosted the city’s open athletics championship. Competitions among boys and girls born in 2002-2003, 2004 and younger were held within the walls of the athletics arena. The start program consisted of eleven disciplines: 60 m running, 300 m running, 600 m running, 1000 m running, 60 m hurdles running, 4 200 m relay running, high jump, long jump, pole vault, triple jump and shot put. Among the participants of the competition, it was impossible not to notice Efim Tarasov, a participant in the Youth Olympic Games 2018. Recall that the UOI was held in October this year in the capital of Argentina. Our athlete then showed a decent result at the 400 m distance and managed to get on the list of finalists for the main start of the outgoing year. Tarasov’s personal result is 48.93 s. At the Ust-Kamenogorsk Championship, Efim took part in the 300 m run, and finished first with a score of 35.18 s. After the start, the athlete shared his emotions and told a little about his plans for the near future. – Efim, you competed in the 300 m race at the competitions, since there was no 400-meter race in the program. The result is at the level of 35.18 s – are you satisfied with the result? – Yes, I am happy with the result. This competition was more like a training session (smiles). Now I have fully recovered from Argentina and am preparing for the start in Novosibirsk, which will take place at the end of December.
