“Sauletai”
XI regional children’s sports games “Sauletai” started in East Kazakhstan region The opening began with creative performances and a colorful presentation of the teams, which filled the hall with a festive atmosphere. In the solemn formation, the participants sang the anthem together, demonstrating unity and a spirit of victory. The head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of East Kazakhstan Region, Askar Mozhanov, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He noted that the games will last four days and cover different sports: athletics, chess, togyzkumalak, arm wrestling, asyk ata, table tennis and much more. Among the 500 participants aged 12-13 years are representatives of all districts and cities of the region. For many participants, “Sauletai” has become not only a sporting challenge, but also a real celebration of friendship and unity. Young athlete Sezim Shyngyskyzy from school No. 11 in Ridder city excitedly shared her expectations. Innes Chernysheva, Head of the Education Department of East Kazakhstan Region, also warmly supported the participants. She noted that “Sauletai” is not just a sports competition, but an event that unites everyone who loves sports. The competitions will be held in such types as: • Athletics – running 60 meters; – long jump; – throwing the ball; – running 600 meters, running 500 meters; – 4*200 m relay race. • Volleyball • Chess • Togyzkumalak • Arm Wrestling • Asyk ata • Table tennis • The Arkan of Tartu We wish all the participants of the competition good luck! Happy Republic of Kazakhstan Day!
Congratulations on the Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan! Republic Day was declared a national holiday in October 1995, and has not been celebrated since 2009. However, in 2022, at the initiative of the country’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, he was given back the status of a national holiday. “Republic Day should become a symbol of the country’s bold step towards statehood. Of course, the original meaning of Independence Day will be preserved. This day remains the main national holiday. However, it should be celebrated as the day of remembrance of our national heroes who made a significant contribution to gaining independence,” the President noted. In honor of the holiday, a race on the mountain “Kazakhstan” – “OSKEMEN RUN” will take place at 11:00
