The final competitions of the winter season, the Republic of Kazakhstan Championships among Youth (U23) and among Younger Boys and Girls (U16), took place in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The competitions were held at the Olga Rypakova Athletics Center. Below are the results of the winners and prize-winners of the East Kazakhstan region team.
Youth Championship (U23)
Ivan Teterin won the 200 meters distance with a time of 21.90. Konstantin Uteshev became first in shot put (15.91). The men’s 4×400 meters relay also brought a gold medal — 3:26.54.
Ruslan Lomtev (high jump, 2.00) and Yerassyl Murzamukhambetov (60 m hurdles, 8.32) won silver medals. Bronze medalists were Ramazan Bakytzhanov (high jump, 1.95), Platon Kruglov (pole vault, 3.90) and the men’s team in the mixed 4×400 meters relay.
In the women’s jumping events, Anastasia Rypakova took first place in long jump with 6.07. Faina Meirmanova (1.80) won the high jump. Arina Gladysheva finished second in the 3000 meters (10:12.84) and third in the 1500 meters (4:41.18). Daria Pototskaya took second place in the 800 meters (2:11.91) and third in the 400 meters (57.12). Silver awards also went to the women’s 4×400 meters relay — 3:57.37. Bronze medals were received by Daria Pavlenko (60 m hurdles, 8.91), Sofiya Kidenko (200 meters, 24.94) and Kristina Zakharchenko (pentathlon, 2758 points).
In addition to the performances of the EKR team, new records were set at the tournament in the 200 meters. Maria Shuvalova (Pavlodar region) updated the Kazakhstan record among youth (U23) — 24.34, and Margarita Kosinova (Almaty) set a record among athletes under 18 (U18) — 24.88. Both results were shown on February 27, 2026.
Junior Championship (U16, born 2011–2012)
In the younger age category, Mukhamed Goibov took second place in the 60 meters run with a time of 7.47. Among girls, two gold medals were won by representatives of EKR. Yana Khairutdinova won the pentathlon (2981 points), Zukhra Karimova became first in the high jump (1.60). In the relays, the EKR team took second place in the 4×200 meters run. In the women’s 4×400 meters relay, the girls finished third — 4:16.32.
