The XXIX Indoor Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan has ended in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Over the course of two days, 249 athletes took part in the competition, including 159 men and 90 women. In order to compete for the title of the best, representatives of all regions and regions of the country except Aktobe and West Kazakhstan gathered for the republican championship.
According to the results of the final day of the competition, the team standings with 21,851 points were led by the city of Karaganda. Athletes from the East Kazakhstan region took the second place in the championship – 20,645, and Kostanay closed the top three with 15,223 points.
Two athletes of the National team managed not only to improve their personal results, but also to update Kazakhstani records.
In the final 60-meter hurdles race with a score of 7.67, David Efremov set a record that held for 28 years.
Another top achievement belongs to the absolute record holder in the 3000 meters Tatyana Neroznak. The Kazakh runner improved her result in this discipline to 9:16.80.
